Bleed Ohio

I love listening to history podcasts but LOVE listening to Ohio history. I’ve lived in Florida, Arizona, and Massachusetts. Each state has something to love but Ohio is my heart! I’m the main host of The Cornfield Meet where we cover transportation disasters but doing Ohio disasters always grab my attention so much more (see "The Crazy Eights” and “The Doodlebug Disaster”). Keep up the good work!

Thank you Alex for riding with me to work in California

I always tell people I’m an Ohio boy. Somehow, I ended up in California for the last 30 years. Dang! This podcast rides with me to work and takes me back to Ohio History class at Edgewood Junior High, minus the spitwads and detentions. I love the story telling as opposed to listening to silly DJs, like me.

My Favorite Podcast!

Ohio v. The World is a fantastic podcast! The host Alex does such an amazing job of making stories of Ohio’s history relatable to modern listeners. It is obvious that Alex cares deeply about our state’s history, applies himself studiously to preparing each episode, and treats his guests with great respect. I am always impressed with how engaged the guests are during their interviews, which reinforces how welcome & appreciated Alex makes them feel. I have listened to all the seasons of Ohio v. The World, and am always excited for a new episode to become available. Thanks to my mother (who was an Ohio history teacher), I have had a lifelong passion for the history of our great state, and I appreciate finding a podcast that expands my knowledge of the topic. I highly recommend Ohio v. The World!

A great podcast about Ohio that everyone can enjoy!

As a history buff and proud citizen of the Buckeye State I instantly became hooked on this podcast. Whether it’s topics I’m already familiar with or others that are totally unknown to me, I’m always learning something new about how the State of Ohio and it’s people have shaped the United States and the World. Love it.

Not everyone should be a podcast host

This guys is really struggling to speak clearly. Constantly stumbling along. Also, I've never understood why hosts think anyone cares what beer they are drinking. Interesting subject matter though, maybe it will improve.
