Hosted by award-winning Australian journalist Alison Rice, Offline is a series of honest conversations with the people behind our favourite Instagram accounts, and the teachers who help us on our way.

Together, Alison and her guests get real about life on the other side of the filter and explore the often confronting concept of true self. Offline exists as a resource for anyone who is ready to look past social media’s highlight reel to work on the relationship they have with themselves. These are raw, imperfect conversations, grounded in reality.

Thank you

This is truly one of my favourite podcasts. I find it thought provoking, impactful and incredibly timely. These conversations feel intimate and I respect so much what Alison is trying to do. As someone who has followed many of Alison’s guests, it is incredibly interesting to hear their insights and has made me reflect on my own views in respect to many things. Would love longer conversations and greater diversity amongst the guests!

Interesting, insightful, important.

It’s like listening into two friends talk about the reality of the ‘glamorous lives’ social media platforms have led us to believe everyone is living. The people behind the images give honest insight into their lives and who they really are and what’s important to them.

A good start

Great concept and Alison’s voice is gorgeous to listen to. I wish I had of listened to her own story on “Lady Land- Lady Brains” prior to starting this series because I would have had more context for these conversations. My hopes for season two would be fixing up some sound issues, a first episode of Alison’s story and definitely a greater diversity of guests.

Something real amongst the noise

This podcast brings topics and real conversations to the surface. There’s so much noise in the world, it’s often hard to know what’s real and what’s worth it. But listening to Offline is a great reminder.

Instantly felt uplifted

Not always happy happy joy joy fairytale stories are needed for uplifting. True stories of struggle and then the rise with lessons and clarity are far more interesting to me these days.I love the interviewing style and free flow of the conversations and thus far all of the women have surprised me with such depth and realism I’m ashamed to say I would have assumed they didn’t have if I only went off their Instagram pages.Keep up the great work. You’re making a difference x

I’m in love with this podcast

I absolutely adore this podcast. Yes some of these negative reviews are correct - the host does speak about herself quite a bit but just as the title suggests this is an honest ‘conversation’. This is two women sharing, connection, relating through conversation. Just as we all do with the important women in our lives. I don’t think it’s possible to get down to such real, raw, emotional content if it was just one person doing the talking. I love hearing what Alison has to say, she is just as intelligent and inspiring as the influencers she is talking to. Thank you Alison. I always finish the podcast feeling a little more in touch with my feminine.

I tried this after seeing people posting about it on Instagram and seeing a range of high profile guests on it. But the podcast was lost on me as it seemed the interviewer talked about herself too much. Isn’t it meant to be about the interviewee? And not sure what was ‘real’ about it, it was just people talking about how they use Instagram?

Something for everyone

I was absolutely blown away by the first episode, and it got me hooked. Each episode is a special type of raw that really does show the other side of the Instagram names. It’s great to hear such high profile people such as Alison and her guests strip down to the bare, sometimes not so good side to show us listeners that were all the same and going through similar things. Each episode has a new angle, and you can learn something so different from each guest. I am 28 weeks pregnant and it’s all I’m listening to right now to get my though the days of counting.(I also would love it if Alison could do an solo episode/ someone interviewing her to talk about some of the things she’s learnt etc) love love love.

Moving

I’ve just been listening to the most current podcast with Leigh Campbell. Holding back the tears, how brave of the both of you to talk so openly about such a personal struggle. Fantastic to get so real with the discussions.

Disappointing

I listened to this podcast as I follow Leigh Campbell and was keen to hear her interview. Leigh was great, however I found the host of this podcast quite disappointing. Difficult to hear her speak, lacking in energy and I found the host kept bringing the interview back to herself, which is frustrating. Hopefully this provides some constructive criticism to the host.

Wonderful, Honest, and Meaningful Conversations

What a fabulous podcast! Alison does an incredible job getting behind the glossy facades we all portray on our social feeds and ignites conversations about things so many of us can relate to...but fail to ever really talk about out on the open. Bravo!

Inspiring - This is what we need as young women x

Alison is soo authentic, raw and real with her guests on her podcast. Soo calming and beautiful to listen to. Soo much wisdom and emotion. It’s soo refreshing to hear people be honest and real about social media and body image as it is such a disturbing subject that is brushed under the carpet.
