Great review!

I am an OB/GYN in private practice in Texas. I am several years post oral boards so listening to your review of ACOG bulletins has been nice. As a typical type A, I had to start at the beginning and have made it to Episode 27 (vaginal breech) and look forward to catching up to current. I really loved episode 21- one of my favorites. I hope for more like 21 and 27, as they are a different perspective. Although the practice bulletins are necessary for basic practice, we have heard this info before. The things that come up in practice are the things not always in the bulletins! Thanks for your hard work!Krista Lemley, DO

Informative but balanced

I am a postpartum nurse and breastfeeding counselor in Pittsburgh with hopes to pursue nurse midwifery graduate school soon. This podcast is so informative but also down-to-earth. It’s great to get so much knowledge packed into one episode but also have humor and understanding interwoven. As an RN it is interesting for me to see the “OB side” of things, since my interactions with them are usually so brief. I also want to thank Nathan for calling out the toxic culture that can exist among the OB specialty as well as on these units in hospitals in general; we need to start lifting each other up in support instead of following ego. Keep up the great work Nathan!

breath of fresh air !

I love this podcast so much. I am an NYC birth worker and Dr Riley is such a breath of fresh air. While he has loads of science at his MD disposal (much of which sometimes goes over my head) he has an abundance of open hearted wisdom to share. There needs to be more people like him in the MD world- who are willing to challenge the status quo of medicine, and look deeply (and ask questions) into what birth is really about. He’s curious and open and his topics and unique perspective are really interesting for me as a birth worker.

Absolutely excellent material. I have especially appreciated his recent podcast on palliative care as well as a podcast he did on fertility awareness.

Ep. 7 intro

I’m a new OBGYN intern just finished my first month and feeling, I’ll admit a bit stunned at what lies ahead. Listening to your intro for Episode. 7 really resonated with me and I just wanted to say thank you for addressing the culture and the need to change it for the better. Really encouraged and inspired me.

Labor and Delivery RN

This is a great way to review so many pregnancy-related complications while I do the laundry, exercise, or drive to work. Thank you for putting this out there. Easy to understand and follow, unbiased, and nonemotion-based information. I highly recommend if you are a health professional working with pregnant women, from doulas, to midwives, to nurses, to physicians.
