Two Canadians one good podcast

I am not a fan of movie snob reviews, this is NOT that. Even if they dislike something it’s explained in a good way to not poop all over something someone else may like. I love the just hanging out banter that can get repetitive but it never seems that way here. My most favorite thing about this podcast is the starting out with the existing reviews so we can take what that says and add how NOFS rates it. Keep it up you two. Give this a try you’ll make it out alive!

Entertaining!

I never thought I’d find something more horrifyingly entertaining than spending a day trapped in the house with my three year olds, but here we are. I’m a newer listener, but I’ve enjoyed all that I’ve listened to so far. If you’re a horror fan, give it a shot! It’s not going to kill you!

Greatest Horror podcast this side Boboli Gardens

Best horror podcast out there. What can I say? This Podcast saved my cat from a tree. Sure they stuffed it into the Pet Sematary for a day or two before but who is that picky? Anyway this podcast is so full of Canadian charm it will make your heart explode after they carve it out and shove in the microwave for half hour. This is like the Toronto Maple Leafs if they were good, as in they are all about drama nose bleeds and wont leave you like the Quebec Nordiques. If you need something to listen to at work, or doing just about anything but wish you were in a world of gore and imagination this is the place to be. You are already here so click subscribe.

Too much chit chat

Tried to listen to an episode and all I heard for the first 15 minutes was ads, promos and blah, blah, blah. Still hadn’t even mentioned the 2 movies in the title so I bailed. EPIC FAIL.

Reallly easy to listen to!

Hey you two. I would like to let you know that I love what you're doing. You're very easy and fun to listen to. It doesn't matter if I've seen the movie or not, but I have watched several films because of what I heard on your reviews. You two were a MAJOR influence on my own podcast... sorry for the plug (Extreme Movie Reviews). I'm not lying though, you two are great! Keep going please, you're the only podcast that, every Thursday, I look for a new review from. I hope all is going well in your world!

My favorite horror related podcast!! Jon and Kim are both phenomenal hosts, super charming and hilarious! The show has me bursting out giggling every episode. I totally feel like I’m discussing movies with two awesome new friends when listening. I love that each episode covers multiple movies, it’s double the horror goodness! On top of that, the interview episodes are always really informative and interesting. A fantastic listen fo anyone into horror!

Horror Fan’s Dream

As a fan of horror films, it’s always fun to hear other’s opinions. Getting to listen to Jon & Kim’s perspectives are always entertaining and enlightening. They always find unique ways to pair two horror films together and discuss their similarities while seeing what worked best in each one. Even when they’re talking about movies they don’t particularly like, they find a way to make it engaging and fun. They’ve been one of my favorite listens after finding them earlier this year. If you’re a horror fan, don’t pass these two up.

A podcast to die for..

I love reading the articles from the website and I especially enjoy listening to this podcast. I’d been subscribed for a very long time and sadly had never really listened until the lockdown started in the USA. Now, I listen to them weekly and love it. Their pairings are interesting and entertaining. They blend comedy and knowledge to give interesting opinions on horror movies. Episodes are long, but it never feels like it because their conversations are that fun to listen to.

Relatable Fiends

I met these 2 during the Overlook Film Fest and have since become a subscriber. Kim & Jon are really easy to relate to since we grew up around the same time. I frequently disagree on their take BUT they are so much fun to listen to it doesn’t matter. They consistently produce the episodes so they aren’t too succinct (dry) or too long. I usually hate listening to podcasts about movies because I find them too long winded and/or predictable. Kim & Jon provide a great balance to each other even when they agree. Give it a listen fiends.

I Want Them To Be My Friends!!!

As a self-proclaimed workaholic, I don’t get a lot of time to watch all my favorite horror movies, and I also don’t have a whole lot of time for friends. I know this makes me sound like a loner and a creep, and maybe I am, who knows? But usually when I have time to listen to something (driving, paperwork, ignoring my wife and family), NOFS is my go-to. Usually Jon & Kim are reviewing two movies I’ve seen, and I love love LOVE to hear their take on these movies that are so close to my heart. If you’re still reading this review by now, bless your heart. We can be friends. Hands down, my favorite thing about the podcast is that Jon & Kim are ENJOYING THEMSELVES. They laugh and joke constantly without deprecating the movies they love (or maybe love less). At the end of it all, listening to them talk just makes my day a little bit brighter. I really hope they’re like that IRL, and if they aren’t, I don’t wanna know. Plus the Canadian accents (especially the way they pronounce the word “resources”) always make me smile. Jon & Kim: If you’re ever in Boise, Idaho, look me up. I bet we’d be friends.

My fav!

Truly my favorite podcast out there. Jon and Kim are the best hosts and I absolutely adore their relationship and banter throughout the episodes. They are highly knowledgeable about the horror community and I respect and appreciate how prepared they are for every double feature discussion. I also love the variety of movies they review, there’s everything from slasher, paranormal, psychological, and monster films discussed. I love being a fellow fiend!
