The real down and dirty

I had been listening to a handful of flower or flower related podcasts before I discovered this one. I ended up doing a Netflix-style binge and listened to every episode. If you want to: Learn A LOT about Flowers and The Flower industry minus the sugarcoated “it’s so easy” baloney, 2) Listen to interviews that are real, transparent and swim in the deep end of the pool and 3) Get inspired for your own garden armed with some legit, tangible, easily applicable and realistic knowledge, then this is the podcast for you. I am truly grateful for what feels like a more honest conversation about the flower industry as well as the great gardening advice all told with a peppering of Steve‘s cheeky sense of humor. He is a great storyteller and a great interviewer. Bravo, Natchez Glen, bravo.

Invaluable Resource

Found this podcast recently and am hooked. Steve sheds light on all topics of the flower industry, and as a new grower myself I’m loving his honesty, insight and willingness to share. His is a completely different message than I’ve been hearing from other flower podcasts and social media. Thanks Steve! Keep doing what you’re doing.

Excellent evidence based information!

Steve’s passion for disseminating evidence based, practical information about plants and gardening is contagious. His unbiased authentic information shines a bright light on current trends within the “flower” market. As a consumer I never thought about where plants/ flowers came from. I didn’t know of the harsh work conditions people in other countries had to endure. As a novice home gardener the information provided has inspired me to have fun planting interesting flowers. Steve is engaging and funny making the listening experience fun!

Honestly one of the best podcast about the flower farming industry.

Found the podcast from the Instagram account. Love the honesty provided about the industry as well as information given about gardening. Also thank you for the insight into the human rights issues in the flower “farms” in Colombia.

Some good information but negative

I understand the concerns regarding new growers making exaggerated claims regarding their knowledge/expertise; however, taking a small sound bite from a specific person out of context is a little too far. I’m sure there is a better way to get the points across and foster a stronger community of growers

Refreshing honesty!

This is true honesty in business! How wonderful to know someone cares enough about fellow families in business to truly give the pros and cons and in depth process so that they can make an informed decision. Also nice to hear such good info on gardening in various climates.

Good Stuff

I'm a new listener, but if the rest of the episodes are as good and science-based as the one with Linda Chalker-Scott, I'm gonna be a real fan. We need reality in gardening and landscaping.

Very interesting podcast on flower growing and the flower industry! As a fellow middle TN resident, it’s great to have a local voice for tips on growing right here in our region.
