Devastated at what MFM has become

I’ve been a devoted listener since Episode 7, but it’s been dozens of episodes since this was a true crime podcast. Two stars are based solely on my love of what this podcast used to be. It was an escape with passionate input on actual true crime stories (albeit poorly researched, but that was never what this show was about). Now it’s just an hour long lecture on politics followed by a brief overview of cases, now clearly selected as an attempt to make statements on current events. Truly a devastating loss in the TC podcast community. Ladies, I love you. I miss what this podcast originally set out to be. If you want to make a political podcast, BY ALL MEANS. But go the LPOTL route and create a new podcast for those discussions, or at least devote those conversations to separate episodes. Until that happens, I am unfortunately, very sadly unsubscribing. I’ll miss you both dearly 💔

Good, but used to be better

I’ve been a long time listener for years and now find myself listening less and less. It’s a lot of of self promotion with “merch corner”, their book, their new network, and other misc things they are hawking. And WAY TOO much banter, that is not even funny. Or they’ll go off on tangents about a one liner that one or the other said and it’s so not funny, just cringey. Now I just skip the first 20-30 mins to get right to the stores.Although, I do appreciate how they delve into mental illness and how open they are about therapy and the their struggles.

2 girls, one podcast, lots of murder!

Love these two! Just caught up to episode 11 and PUMPED for the rest! Super funny ladies. I adore the banter too. I am true crime obsessed, plus I can get with the references as I’m about the same age.

Love!

I’ve been listening to K&G since the jump and they’ve only gotten better with time. They choose interesting, nontraditional cases that aren’t carbon copies of cases that nearly every other true crime pod has covered. They’re also extremely sensitive and inclusive in the way they tell stories, to honor victims and survivors.

This is my favorite.

I feel like we’re all best friends. Writing that out makes me fee like a creepster, but I love listening to you two! Thank you.

Done.

I started listening way back in the beginning. I LOVED that I found a funny podcast that also included murder. What a combo, right? Even joined & contributed to online murderino groups in my area. But - I am done today. The condescending tone when referring to those of us who live in small towns outside of California, the political digs, and the narcissism of the hosts has overshadowed any entertainment that the podcast provides. There are TONS of other podcasts where I don't feel like I'm listening to the *popular* girls talk about themselves ad nauseam. PEACE OUT.

used to be good... what happened?

it used to be good but now they don’t even do their own research and banter for way too long. live shows aren’t good- even in person.

I used to love this show

Like many others, I used to be an avid listener. Karen especially is a great story teller. However, the meandering banter in the beginning is just starting to feel forced and borderline narcissistic. The last episode I tried listening to I just gave up because it was almost and hour before they started discussing the murders. Such a bummer.

Politics are taking over

This is getting too political for me to enjoy listening to anymore which is sad because if used to be one of my faves. Pushing your thinking on others and belittling them for not thinking the same is wrong. Also GET TO THE POINT!! 45 minutes of nonsense chatter and giggles is not why I’m here

My saving grace

I work night shift in a hospital lab. It can get pretty stressful at times. After a crazy busy and stressful night at work my daughter suggested this podcast to me. It has been my saving grace during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Wikipedia is not a reliable source

Most of the podcast is just them bantering nonsense and when they finally get to the crimes it’s poorly researched.

It’s gotten so lazy

I used to love this show, but the content has gotten so poor in the past few months. They’ve really been phoning it in on content and research. And a whole hour episode for a Q&A session from Georgia and Karen is just ridiculous.

Friends in my head

I can’t get enough of these ladies, and this podcast! I look forward to the new releases, and love relistening to all of the old episodes. Not only do they relay stories with compassion, and dignity towards the victim; they are hilarious. I’d be remised if I didn’t say thank you for all of their work highlighting social justice issues! Thanks ladies, and keep up the good work!
