Knowledgeable hosts and entertaining topics

I stumbled on this podcast looking for movie related information to keep myself occupied while working. I found myself engaged immediately as all the host seem to know each other well and know a lot about movies both current and older. They all have a different take seams on many subjects and the insider information is so interesting that it's not a matter of agreeing or disagreeing with for the most part. They also dabble in show was regarding older mysteries mysteries and the Black Dahlia episode I just listened to last week was incredibly detailed and fascinating. I really don't have any complaints other than the sound quality is really bad. I have to crank up my iPhone and often I have to play it back to hear what happened because I just can't them hear well. I don't know why that is or if they even know about it but it doesn't take away from my enjoyment other than it's just annoying. If you like movies and you like to hear different opinions you'll like this podcast. I highly recommend it.

Love you guys!

Always entertaining and informative. And the interplay between you all is as appealing as the content. I'm a big Kubrick fan, which is how I found you. I've got to admit to having a soft spot for Dean--who can resist the appeal of a guy who says he would like to see more movies about women talking? We can be interesting as people, though you would never think so from most movies. (Although my habit of analyzing a recently-seen movie until falling asleep and waking up with more ideas to share over morning coffee drives my husband a little nuts.)

Great show for movie lovers

Happened on MGU by chance. Was searching for podcasts on Mario Bava and his films. Have downloaded all of their episodes since. Run by a gentleman who works in the industry and genuinely loves film like me. One of the best podcasts dedicated to film and it's craft. Only negative is a guy named Dean. His audio is always louder than the other two and his favorite past time is interrupting people. No better case in point then the Breaking Bad episode. Didn't last past the 20 minute mark because of his obnoxious, know-it-all attititude. Other than that...5 stars.

Movie Geeks

How delightful to listen to interviews with artists that are not about who they are wearing or sleeping with! Content about film as art not just as commerce or commodity. As for those spoiled listeners who complained about the sound quality, grow a set and deal. The quality of the content is more important than that of the sound. To say it is not "listenable" is inaccurate and unfair. If you are interested in intelligent and entertaining discussion of film, look no further. This IS your podcast. Mr. Duvall, I hope you are ready for your close up, certainly it is coming.

Good guests, appalling sound quality

This show has some amazing guests and seems to have big-ticket advertisers and the hosts are knowledgable. But the sound quality is horriible! Everything from the hosts to the guests sounds as if it was recorded over an old telephone connection. Almost unlistenable!
