Worthwhile

Tom has interesting guests who are involved with Model Railroading. I love when he asked guests to tell us what is going on with his or her model railroad hobby. Everyone is comfortable and hte talk is fun and useful.

MRR is my Model Railroad Club

I am listening to the show from show #0 to current (currently on show #28 ) and I want to comment on the show format and the cast of regulars. It is truly remarkable that Model Rail Radio brings together a group of people that are positive, energetic and knowledgeable with regards to the model railroading hobby. It’s a great show and I have learned a great deal about the hobby, its history and its obscurities. I like to think Model Rail Radio and its community is my dream model railroad club. Thank you Tom Barbalet and crew!

Fantastic show

I found this podcast like a treasure in sand, and I'm not giving it back. I'll share it though. The host and guests are diversified, knowledgable, and entertaining. Listening to the show has re-energized my enthusiasm for the hobby. I listen to it whenever I'm in the car, at my work bench or building in the train room. Keep up the great work!

Becoming a Staple of my Hobby Diet

This podcast at first put me off due to the shear length. Once you are past that initial reaction this podcast grows on you if you are a model railroader. Tom carries on a serial conversation that reminds one of the old ones that would go on at work sessions on a Saturday in hobby shops or clubs of days long gone. Techniques discussed are current and the host is excellent at pulling information from his guests. There is a core group that seems to rotate through but anyone is welcome to participate. See the web site for details

Required Listening!

I have been working my way through the shows from the beginning since discovering it a couple of months ago. I am just thrilled to see how this show has grown from what seemed a bit unlikely at first. Each and every show gives me new information and encouragement to further my modeling. I even participated in a show earlier this month :-) Extraordinary information, and especially fellowship! Wouldn't miss it for anything!

My Favorite Podcast

Model Rail Radio is my favorite podcast, without question. The best way to listen to it is to join in on the live Skype show. I like it when it is long, even 4 hours or more. Tom is a good sport and handle the show well.
