Mo'Nique & Sidney's Open Relationship

Mo'Nique & Sidney's Open Relationship

Published by: Radio.com

“Open Relationship” is a play on words referring to Mo'Nique's announcement to publications that she and her husband of close to 10 years, Sidney Hicks, have an Open Relationship. Though the real intent behind her statement refers to their long history together, their Open-Minded Relationship simply means that something like an extra-marital affair wouldn't be a deal breaker to their marriage. They build upon the public discussions surrounding this concept to explore the openness and communication that is necessary for us all to have better relationships with others, in anything including Open Relationships, Falling in Love, Discussing Sex with Our Children, and everything in between. As Mo'Nique & Sidney would say, "The mind is like a parachute; it’s no good unless it's open.”

I like it

I listen to it during work. I think it’s funny. Mo is hilarious and her personality shines. What they lack in content and rationally, as they attempt to make the podcast relatable to their audience, they make up with humor. “I’m sorry Mo I’m just a little selfish in my space now.” Lol

The Best

Thank you for laying on the sword for us. They don't support you now, in time they'll see you were right and be sad they didn't support. It happens to all the greats. Thank you again for your sacrifice.

This world that we live in is the last days most folks don’t know god otherwise they wouldn’t behave and act and posts the things that they do. This mans world that we live in isn’t getting any better. Thank you for this this podcast I listen every day and often repeat episodes. You are a role model.

Absolutely Refreshing!

I’m so happy and excited that I’ve found this show because FINALLY there is a couple who is open, honest and willing to share how their open relationship works. I appreciate both Mo’nique & Sydney for cracking open the vault of secrecy, lies, and just plain old Tom foolery that has plagued and created “sinners” in the black community for soooooooo long. It is possible to engage in normal (what is normal anyway?) human behaviors of relating, growing and changing AND have a loving relationship. Kudos to the fantastic hosts!
