Just a Book Promo

This seems to be largely just a promo for a new book. There isn't a whole lot of content and the episodes are really short. For instance. Episode 3 is under 4 mintues long and they spend about 30 seconds telling us they are going to pick up the same topic in the next episode. It would be much better if it were longer and more conversational. It's not really worth my time to listen to a 4 minute episode and get 45 seconds of content. Even worse to listen to a 10 minute episode and get 45 seconds of content. If the only thing offered are "nuggets of wisdom" with no exploration into the subject, twitter would be a better format. I will say that the concept behind the show is a great idea and sorely needed. But I don't think they looked into what producing an excellent podcast really requires. My guess is that they've heard that podcasting is a great way to sell a book. Podcasts at their best aren't commercials, they're long form discussions. A podcast might sell books, but not like this.Check out the Foster Parenting Podcast for an example of somebody digging into parenting.

Setting the example

That is what I call, getting back to the basics. It seems so simple but we tend to slip up so often. Thanks for reminding us it all starts at home.
