Please change the host!

Completely agree with all the comments - the host is dreadful and we are not interested in her story or opinions. Ask the question and let these amazing artists answer for themselves!!

Terrible host, hard to listen to. Fabulous interview subjects!

GeorgetteH’s review (28/11/18) sums this podcast up perfectly; amazing interview subjects of whom I could listen to for hours, but unfortunately the host is terrible! I can no longer listen to these amazing artists as I am sick of hearing Amber’s pointless tangents and interruptions! Clearly the producers of this podcast don’t read the reviews or care what the listeners think, as many similar comments have been made in previous reviews dating back as far as a year ago, with no change in Amber’s interview technique or host of this podcast generally. Such a detriment to TAB who have such wonderful stories and experiences to tell. Move on, Amber!

Wonderful content, frustrating listening

I love that we are welcomed into the world of the amazing Australian Ballet artists, the content is so fascinating and I love listening to the wonderful and talented artists and their stories. However, the podcast is infuriating to listen to as Amber Petty is constantly interrupting the artists and answering for the guest via her own interpretation of her own question which you can tell is not how the guest wanted to answer. This is not only very unprofessional but does not give accurate interviews as the dancers are not given a chance to answer the questions fully themselves. I have noticed many other reviewers voicing their frustrations of this same problem, so perhaps it's time to review your interviewer and/or her interviewing technique before listeners start to drop off..I really appreciate the ballet being given such a wonderful platform but please reconsider you choice of host. Thank you :)

Love the Guests

I thoroughly enjoy listening to all your guests and hearing them talk about their world. I too would like you to try to stop interrupting.....please try to listen to them without cutting them off. We are all tuning in to hear from these amazing artists and to hopefully get a glimpse of what it’s like being with TAB Company; quite often though they are interrupted and then we hear your story. I hope you can see (or hear, especially if you listen back to this latest episode with beautiful Alice) where I’m coming from and understand that we want more from the artist and less from you. I don’t write this review lightly and I apologise if I sound rude. Thank you for starting this podcast; I get very excited when I see a new episode uploaded.

Stop interrupting!

I never miss an episode, because the subjects are so fascinating. But please, Amber, stop interrupting the guests and talking over the top of them! It is infuriating!

New host?

The guests are fascinating, it would be great to hear more from them and for the host to let them finish a sentence without butting in to talk about herself. I don’t know who she is, but she mistakenly thinks we’re here to hear about her life, perhaps she should start a separate podcast where she can talk about herself to her heart’s content? Thank you to all the TAB stars for sharing their experiences!

👍

It’s really interesting hearing from lots of different talents within the Aus Ballet. I just wish the host would stop interrupting them and talking about herself instead of focusing on her guests.

Awful host, great subjects

Fantastic to hear from the creative, passionate souls of the Australian Ballet. Pity the host is so terrible at the interviews and hijacks the discussion by inserting herself into it to no benefit.

Wonderful, except for the host

A fabulous insight into the world of the Australian Ballet and some of its key players. Probably aimed at ballet buffs like myself. Sadly, the flow is constantly ruined by the host, who continually interrupts the speakers to offer totally useless comments - this habit has gotten worse with each podcast and is immensely frustrating. If she could just ask a question and then refrain from speaking until the guest has finished their answer, this podcast would be immeasurably better.
