Great stories and great production
When you write a story and find out someone else is going to narrate it, a lot of questions pop into your mind. Will the narrator be able to emphasize the right words with the right inflection? Will the voice even sort of match your vision for the character's voice? Ultimately, will it sound ANYTHING like what you originally intended? I can say with 100% sincerity that, in the case of the MASH podcast, the producers and vocal talent hit the nail directly on the head (at least in the case of my story). After listening to several of the narrated stories now, I'm extremely impressed with the production level, the voice talent, and the overall quality of these podcasts. And that doesn't even cover the fantastic stories that the podcasts themselves are created to tell. All in all, I'm highly impressed with the MASH podcast and have thoroughly enjoyed the stories I've heard. While I can't guarantee that I'll love or agree with every single story ever published/narrated, I can definitely say that I agree with how well the MASH Stories team is handling the production with each episode. I'm excited to hear the stories that are published in the future, as I can only imagine things will get better as time goes on.
