Thank you Peppers

My significant other and I began dating at a very young age just like the Peppers and their stories and advice provides me with so much perspective on our relationship!! They have truly provided me with moments for introspection and mindfulness, not only when I’m listening but, when I’m mid conversation (or argument) with my significant other. They have truly helped me become a far better partner and taught me that great love is the best thing we can give our loved ones!

I can’t listen to her

I just listened to her nag him for an hour. So whiny, so demanding, so condescending, so unbearable. It seemed that he was gently trying to explain something to her and she would immediately get defensive and rude. I had to stop listening because of her. I couldn’t take it and she wasn’t even nagging me.

Really fun, relevant and informative

I love that this show is kind of like listening in on conversations that you yourself might have with your partner or spouse. It’s helped me learn how to communicate better, and I feel like it’s making me a better partner. Thanks guys!

New from Kansas!

Wow so i just started listening to your podcast last week and wow I’m hooked. My husband and I are a lil over a year into our marriage but we’ve been together for over 5 years and even though we started our marriage later I can still relate to what you guys talk about especially when you said you can still grow together! Another thing I loved that you said earlier in your podcast is you guys got married for it all through sickness and in health and i love that! Being a “product” of divorced parents that has been the main thing in life i want to ignore and I wanna try and get my husband into this so maybe it can spark more conversations! Luh-luh-love your podcast!

Game Changer

This podcast came into my life at the precise moment it was meant too. My husband and I were/are struggling. Not just the normal marriage issues, but some truly heavy emotional issues that I personally never thought that I would be equipped to handle. Listening to Gerard and Jessie and they way that they communicate with each other inspired me to be able to do the same. The laughs, the hot sauce, the armoir, all of these episodes have made such a difference in my marriage that instead of letting go, I am holding on with the tightest bear hug I can muster. 5 stars for relatability, 5 stars for encouragement, 5 stars for the modeling of communication. My commute to and from work is forever changed, thank you Mr. and Mrs. Pepper. (Sidebar: Instead of pineapple in the hot sauce perhaps a mango/habenero?)

Disappointing

At first I liked the podcast, thought it was funny and interesting to listen to other perspectives especially around relationship issues/challenges. However, the last several episodes I was turned off. It seemed like there was a lot of whining and unnecessary crying about things like having to go to the Apple store. There are people in this world that have real problems and to hear someone get moved to tears over getting a computer fixed makes me feel like the hosts are entitled and spoiled.

Marriage IS Funny

I love this podcast! Discovered it from the Stay Married podcast and binged listened to all the Avila lie episodes. Jessie and Gerard are both funny, honest, and relatable. They give honest advise based on their own life experiences. Definitely worth the listen!
