Good

Decent true crime podcast. Gets a little off track here and there but the worst part is being held hostage right in the middle of a pivotal moment by the long excerpts of house music the podcaster deemed necessary... really annoying.

Love this podcast. I listen to a lot of true crime. Some are horrible but this one is very interesting

New favorite

I throughly enjoyed the set up of this podcast (even with the long music features.) Being ad free doesn’t hurt. Growing up with family in that region, I’m surprised I never heard of this case, so I’m glad this was recommended to me. Great and informative podcast- will be recommending to others!

Great 👍🏼

I really enjoy this podcast. They’re very good interviewers and delve right in to the crime and it’s history. My only reason for 4 stars is the music. Sometimes it’s way too long. I’m only referring to the theme music. I LOVE that they include music from local artists. I could just do without 30-60 seconds of abrupt fiddling.

Definitely worth listening to

Compelling and ad-free. I think the music felt long and intrusive at times, but i binged just the same.

Mated and Karen WVU coeds

Loved it! I was in school here from 67 to 71. I remember when this happened and I lived in Borman Hall and we were told if we got a package that we weren’t expecting that looked suspicious not to open it. ThanksI really enjoyed the podcast.

Great podcast

Being originally from the Preston Co. I know about this story growing up but had never heard details like this. Most people had never heard of it when I went to college. Great work. 💛💙

True crime craziness

One of the classic phrases from this pod was ”There we're too many suspects. ” They came to be called the Parade of Horribles. Enjoyed the production and title music.

Creeped but Intrigued

I had listened to the first six episodes once before, but just finished listening to all of them with my boyfriend. We were both intrigued and it always inspired new conversations! As recent WVU Alum, learning some history about the university of a dark spot of its past made this hit a little closer to home.

Creepy and captivating

If I could rate this higher than 5 I would! This is such an oddly fascinating case that I have never heard of before. The reporting is factual, the interviews are interesting & the music is perfectly chosen throughout the entire podcast. All of these are intricately interwoven, creating an incredibly captivating narrative of a heinous crime of the haunting deaths of 2 female college students at WVU. Interviews range from students who lived in the same dorm as Mared & Karen or attended WVU at the time, a writer who began working with a member of law enforcement that actually worked the case but was convinced an innocent man had been convicted, people who searched for Mared & Karen including a member of the National Guard who actually was a part of the search crew, to highlight just a few. The team highlights the numerous other potential suspects and delved into why all of them could actually have been responsible. This is one of the best podcasts, albeit creepy, that I have heard in a while!!!

Great Storytelling

Really enjoyed this case. The storyline was very compelling. The storytelling was done at good pace kept me wanting to binge. But resisted and stretched it out over a few days. And the music was awesome. Give it a listen you won’t be disappointed. Hope these folks do more.

Interesting but that music.

I’m on episode 3 and am intrigued but the constant LONG music breaks are so off putting and exasperating.

Great story telling

Loved this podcast and especially the music of the local artist of Morgantown. My entire family is from Wheeling WV and I remember the stories of this gruesome crime when I was young. Every episode had me glued to my seat excellent work in bringing this crime back into the spotlight

Good but the music is too much

I’m a true crime fanatic and love to listen to all podcasts on them. This is a great repealing if such a tragic crime to two young women. Unfortunately I found the music breaks and background music to be distracting and obnoxious. Still a good listen.
