Tries hard

Good hearted but sophomoric and solipsistic. Relies on emotion not the facts. Will confuse a lot of listeners with prejudice and presumption. Sad

THE BEST

I listened to Episode 1 of Season 1 yesterday on the treadmill and the time flew by so quickly. I learned so much and I love how he wove together great stories from different points in time. Can’t wait to get back on the treadmill now that I have discovered these. I have four seasons to catch up on...

BPE (Best podcast ever)

My Absolutely favorite podcast. Intelligent, well produced, entertaining and funny. I listen to it on my way to work and my way home from work. My only complaint is that I wish he would produce more episodes. It’s too long a wait between seasons.

Gladwell is my hero

In an age of brash blowhards saying a whole lot about not much at all, Malcolm Gladwell is my hero. His insatiable curiosity combined with a disarming lack of ego has made me his biggest fan. He’s so impish in his reporting. He makes me giggle at least twice an episode. I devoured all his books, so I was delighted to move onto listening to his melodic voice and rapacious wit coming straight into my ears. Thank you for continuing to provide quality content in a world so often laced with meh!!

I would leave 6 stars if I could.

Malcolm Gladwell’s voice is so soothing and mesmerizing that you won’t even want to forward past the ads. Incredibly thought-provoking and wonderful.

Once upon a time I liked Malcom

He has clearly become very impressed with himself. I now find him pretty difficult to take seriously.

1/2 the story

Another intellectually dishonest opinion piece cloaked in being unbiased. I happen to know quite a bit about 2 of the subjects he tackled in season one and the omissions of key people and facts is either at best sloppy research or at worst an unethical attempt to sway opinions using only a select group of facts

He is brilliant to listen to. He is clearly stunningly bright and well read, researched- it’s like going on a ride in his mind.

Amazing storyteller

My commute has become a refuge. A special time just for me to listen and think about interesting topics and preconceived notions. I was hooked with the first episode, outraged by the middle of the season and telling friends by season 2. I can’t wait to hear what Malcolm has for me each day. But I have found I need to take a break every once in a while to let the ideas sink in, discover how I feel about them.
