Nostalgia fix

Thank you so much for this podcast I just stared it and am excited for the long trek through. I am a long time fan and have always questioned the weird out of place lines. I really appreciate hearing the sub lines and learning that I was correct in feeling like things were out of place. I am a die hard dub fan but also agree with many points that you both have. I have some critics but as it is over there is no point. Thank you for dedicating the time, I tried several Digimon podcasts then settled on yours to dedicate my long drives to. I’m at episode 20 as a frame of reference.

Super-Ultimate Level Digimon Podcast

Lost in Translationmon is the best Digimon podcast and an incredibly interesting podcast in general. Both of the hosts have a unique dynamic and a refreshing chemistry between them. I really respect all of the hard work May puts into producing the podcast. It would have been easy for her to say she wouldn't re-record previous podcast episodes they lost due to technical difficulties. But she soldiers on and still produces content on time for people to listen to every week. May is a model of consistency and has superhuman work ethic. I also enjoy and appreciate Jay pointing out the inconsistencies and flaws in Digimon's writing. It is far from a perfect anime franchise and his voice is one that the fandom has been missing all of these years. If you are in search of a podcast that takes a critical look at Digimon, Lost in Translationmon is the one you need.

Nice to follow along!

I've recently discovered how bad the dub changes were in Digimon after rewatching the movie. So it made me curious to go and rewatch the show from the beginning in JP and now I want to watch the episodes that Jay and May watch and follow along with them. There's a huge contrast between May and Jay's fandom but after listening to bits of the third episode you can tell that Digimon is digivolving on Jay. Which is pretty cool.

Must listen to podcast for any Digimon fan.

May and Jay do what most Digimon podcasts do not; they review both the original Japanese (subbed) and the english dub for all of the Digimon series. I tried listening to other Digimon podcasts, but this is the only one that stuck. The dynamics of their relationship and this show keep me coming back every week, making this show one of my favorite podcasts (not just Digimon) to listen to. Listening to this podcasts is pretty much like listening to my friends arguing about how one's favorite show isn't as good as they thought it was, but hey we all wear nostalgia goggles sometimes right? Keep up the good work May and Jay! If you want a fun weekly kick of Digimon made with a lot of thought and dedication (especially from May) definitely choose this one!

Not enough Holydramon, but otherwise perfect.

I came across this podcast a few months ago, but hadn't actually given it a listen until last week. In no time at all, I was hooked, and I've been listening nonstop on my way to and from work. Of every Digimon podcast I've heard, this is the only one that I've enjoyed the entire way through, whereas others can be a struggle to get through. The premise reminded me of a certain comic book podcast that I've never been able to enjoy no matter how hard I try, but the execution is infinitely mansplainy, and I get the sense that (Jay's less than stellar view of the series aside) the hosts genuinely enjoy what they're doing. The hosts have excellent synergy, and are endlessly entertaining. I'm only midway through Season 2 at the moment, but an episode that the hosts had to rerecord due to data loss made me so impressed by their dedication that I supported them on Patreon as soon as I got home that day. If you're into Digimon, I strongly recommend this podcast. If you're not, but can get behind general hilarity and analysis, I'd give it a shot as well. You won't be disappointed. That being said, everyone is wrong: Holydramon > Ophanimon. That's just a science fact.

Great Podcast!

One of the best Digimon podcasts! The two hosts, May and Jay, are very entertaining and have in depth discussion about every episode/movie. A very funny podcast that I've listened to for several months!
