Please look into how to produce a podcast

These guys obviously do not put much thought and time - aside from recording - to make the podcast. They don’t edit sound levels and I’ve found myself getting more and more frustrated trying to hear what they are saying and sitting through laughter as they laugh at their own jokes.

These guys are great

I’ve been a 40k fan for something like 5 years now. I only read the lore/books and play the video games but it’s my #1 thing now. One of my favorite parts of being a Warhammer fan is talking about the lore and teaching my friends about the universe. These guys capture the feeling of talking to your friends about 40k because that’s essentially what they are doing. Just a group of friends naturally talking about Warhammer and having a good time. If your new to the setting then I would definitely recommend giving them a listen as it’s a very laid back explanation of a variety of different things.

Incorrect lore

Literally got the lore wrong in the first episode. A 5 second google search to confirm. If you’re going to make it your job to tell the lore about something at least make it more than 15 minutes into your first episode before getting the history completely wrong. Do some research and don’t just make stuff up. It was literally their first talking point after introducing themselves and they got it wrong.

Perfection

I was but a wee heretic upon a feudal world until I discovered this podcast. Now the emperor himself speaks to me through Lorehammer. For real. I play 40k but knew only very basics of the fluff. This podcast has taught me so much more making the hobby as a whole far more enjoyable. Thank you

Great show, awesome subjects. love the knowledge and the humor, especially the “would you rather 40k edition” segments. It’s breath of fresh holy air in a galaxy of filth! Keep it up guys.

Fantastically in depth yet easy to grasp

Was new to 40k going in but after several dozen hours of listening I feel like I have a very firm grasp of the broad aspects of the universe and can now keep up with friends’ deeper discussions without being totally clueless. Keep it up guys!

Great for those who know nothing about 40k

Even though I knew nothing about 40k, I started listening to this podcast on a whim because I had heard about Warhammer from some friends, and I wanted to get a feel of what the universe was like. I’m now several episodes in and am loving the show. They do a great job of making the lore accessible for someone to get in on the ground floor of 40k lore. While the sidetracks can be a bit long and the jokes a bit rude for some people’s taste, there is a honest camaraderie and love for the hobby that shines through every episode. I am hooked and have even started buying some 40k books because of this podcast. Thanks to this podcast, I now know how to find and hunt down the heretics and xenos in my life.Praise be to the Emperor for Lorehammer!

Great lore info-great jokes

I really enjoy listening to these guys. Their jokes and rants are great and informative for people new to the hobby and more experienced players. Some of the humor might be too crude for certain listeners, and they do get sidetracked a lot.I find it funny cause it’s similar to how my own friends and I would talk to each other when arguing about the lore.

Good Balence

Great show with good balance of silly stories and banter mixed with comprehensive 40K lore walkthroughs that are perfect for beginners or vets. The hosts are goons but in a lovable way that keeps the tone light and fun.

I love it but some may not

I had a ok understanding when I started listening to this and did find I learned quite a bit. What I keep on seeing is people saying how they don’t start the lore for 20 min and they have the combined maturity of a 12 year old and well this is of course true. They can be... sometimes are.... always completely dumb but it’s part of the podcast. This is more entertainment than lore frankly and I don’t mind. If I don’t understand something completely I just go to lexicanium. I have spent hours looking stuff up they mentioned and gone on massive tangents. There are other podcasts that do a better job at cramming lore into an episode but if I wanted to listed to a monotone man read off a script I’d go watch national geographic. There is a point to them messing up lore but they have been getting better. In total they are really f-ing funny and you learn something too and if you want straight lore there are places for that.

Lacking in info, humor, and class

Mark and Eric seem to not do barely any research before they broadcast leading to moments where they are confused or worse, argue about whose right. Worst part is that these guys play into the “neck-beard” stereotype with their gross humor and tasteless comments

Just read the Lexicanum

I thought it started off alright but the hosts just cannot stick to the material. Everyone is constantly trying to be the funniest guy in the room, interrupting whoever is reading at every turn. It might be bearable if the banter were at least funny, but it isn’t. I’m not one to usually care about a couple of jokes about gender or orientation or race but it just got to be too much. If you’re interested in Warhammer lore check out Luetrin on YouTube, or check out some of the Horus Heresy audiobooks. Or check out the Lexicanum, that’s exactly what they’re doing. You don’t need these guys.

Poor quality

If there was any other podcast dedicated to lore it would be by default more popular than this one. Unless you like:Rambling dialogue: taking roughly 20 minutes to even start talking about the subject in any kind of depth, and peppering each episode with inane comments.Bad Jokes: each individual thinks they are hilarious but rarely laugh at others jokes, unless they are about to follow it up with an even worse one.Arguments: Mark and Erik in particular bickering like school children who pretend to like each other but in actuality can’t stand each other. And, worst of all... POOR LORE KNOWLEDGE!!!Listening to tabletop gamers talk about lore is like listening to racers talk about car mechanics; the 40k lore might as well be copied and pasted from black library and there’s almost no additional literary insight to show that any of them are avid readers of the stories. I don’t know how many times I’ve heard them stumble over gaps in their collective knowledge while I’m mentally screaming at them with my relatively limited knowledge just because I’ve listened to the Horus heresy and a few 40k series. When you make admittedly limited listeners want to quit their day job just to make a 40k lore podcast the way it should be, that’s when you know you are running a bad show.0/10 the emperor would be ashamed of you all.
