Big fan of Ingrid!

I’ve been a long time fan of Ingrid Nilsen and this podcast introduced me to Cat, who is wonderful too! I love that they go into depth with sensitive and sometimes taboo — but very important — topics. They are my favorite kinds of feminists, bringing attention to real issues while acknowledging and respecting that not everyone agrees or has similar experiences. I miss them and want the podcast to come back!

Longtime fan...but not of this

I've been a longtime fan of Ingrid and her Youtube channel. I tried so hard to give this a try. So many times I turned it off because they both sound so uninformed and ignorant when discussing issues. For example, I was really iritated me when they talked about not watching Get Out because its "messed up." This podcast would be so much better is you all avoided any true issues and kept conversations to reality tv and pop culture.

Sad this is over.

The shame episode is emotional, needed, and a great gateway into a difficult topic. Even 2 years after it came out, it’s still relevant.

Interesting topics, spirited, poorly researched

The topics discussed in this podcast are intriguing and as a fan of Ingrid’s I was psyched when it first came out. Unfortunately, both hosts have the same opinion on every issue so it gets boring. I have listened to 10+ episodes and never once did either person step out of their comfort zone and genuinely look at an issue from others’ point of view. Mistakes are frequent and sometimes egregious, especially when historical context is used to support an opinion. Essentially two young women in the LA entertainment industry are casually discussing the news, being careful not to go too deep, and they’re not interested in being challenged. If you want to know what it’s like to be friends with Ingrid and Cat, this is the podcast for you. If you want to learn something new or think critically about the topic at hand, you may be disappointed.

Consistently Needed

Since the beginning of this podcast I have found myself missing it when these ladies are in a break or I neglect my podcast app. Whether I relate to a topic or not, this podcast is engaging, feminist, and allows me to dive deep into how I understand different ideas. I’d recommend this podcast to new and old podcast lovers alike. Ingrid and Kat have unique perspectives to share with the world. 10/10.

Developing Emotional Intelligence

I really enjoy this podcast, and have been listening to it for a long time. Something that is really special to me about this podcast is that it converges into emotional intelligence and understanding the world around me through the topics they cover in the podcast.

I’m SO over getting older!

Ladies, I’m enjoying your “Getting Over...” podcast right now and simply feeling joyful. It is precious to me to hear your frank discussion on aging in your 30’s and 40’s and thrilled that you have realized it is big time the world takes us as we are. I’m beginning to have the same concerns you have voiced; I’ll be 63 next week. I had to smile, because my neck has bothered me from time to time, but it is easy now! I have a grandson; holding him, the memory came to me how much I loved reaching up and patting the sweet soft neck of my own mother (she was 36 when I was born). Our future softening enables our embrace of the up coming generations, whether they are children, nieces and nephews, young cousins or grandchildren. We will provide the softness and comfort in a hard world for our descendants. We Are AWESOME! And it only gets better (in some ways).
