Love this show!!!

I’ve loved this show since the first episode. It’s well-acted, well-produced, and super fun. I wish I could live in King Falls 😁 This is one of the only shows I can actually binge nonstop...and listen to it repeatedly.

Fantastic!

I was doing a lot of distance driving due to the whole pandemic thing and was looking for some more podcasts to listen to and my friend recommended this to me. I love it! I’ve binged through almost all of it in a little over a week. I listen to it going to and from work, while I’m playing video games, while I’m getting dressed and while I’m just sitting in bed. The story hooked me in, and I love the way everyone grows and develops throughout the series. The voice acting is really good too. It feels like the characters are 100% real. I would recommend this to anyone searching for a good story-driven podcast.

Gravity Falls for grownups

I love this show with my whole entire heart. Every character is endearing; the stories are funny, spooky, and heart-wrenching; and the whole show in general just feels like home. I don’t want to spoil anything for people who are listening for the first time, but the complete unabashed love all of the main characters have for one another makes me happier than anything else. My only criticism with this show is that there is some frighteningly ableist and racially insensitive writing in a few of the earlier episodes (the Storm Sanders episode, Walt in general, and the mayoral debate come to mind). You can decide whether or not to listen with these things in mind, but I think it’s worth wading through these moments for the superb content and engaging storytelling.

Promising Start, Falls Fast

I was less than 20 episodes in but I’m throwing in the towel. There are weirdly racist portrayals of people of color, a forced, tired storyline with Ben and Emily, and just some writing choices that continuously made me uncomfortable. I don’t often listen to this many episodes only to give up on a podcast, but as I cast my net wide, there are so many better podcasts of this type made by POC or at least people who have an anti-bigotry, anti-racist mindset and take steps to avoid harmful language and stereotypes—and that can actually take criticism from their viewers. Try Nightvale, Magnus Archives, The McIlwraith Statements or Alice Isn’t Dead for similar “the creepy in the mundane” plots, and skip this series. It’s a shame, I was really trying to get into it, I wanted to give it a chance but it’s just not worth it.

Bargain bin Night Vale with casual racism

16 episodes in and I’m calling it. I gave it a chance, it’s just not improving.

Absolutely Amazing

I love everything about this podcast. The characters are extremely lovable and the plot can bring you from laughing to crying. I’ve suggested KFam to plenty of people and they all loved it! Make sure you don’t listen too late at night or you might get spooked!

Show started of really well...

The show started off really well and was engaging and interesting. The idea of a supernatural show surrounding an AM radio station is something I have wanted to hear but never have. It’s one reason I will actually scan AM stations on long road trips. The downfall for me is the constant bickering and lack of character progression and growth. That and the disgusting anti-Christian bigotry displayed in the first season. You wouldn’t dare attempt to portray Mohammed screwing a dog but have no problem working a false jesus into that scenario. Disappointing!

I used to LOVE LOVE LOVE King Falls Am. However, Phase Two was kind of... a let down. Lots of the same circular arguments without much growth. I think that I could have listened to maybe a fraction of the episodes in Phase Two and have come to a similar conclusion in the end, if that makes sense. I think the show is best when it explores the paranormal small town. Lately it seems like they’ve been including characters from the small town as a means for witty one liners. P.S. bring back Cynthia. P.P.S. I’m dying to know the Chickenfoot Dixon story

I love it, but....

I love almost EVERYTHING about this show... except the way the characters progress through the story. Storytelling can work without proper having constant arguments. Honestly Ben and Sammy's fighting is so exhausting to listen to that I want to quit the show over it. Their dynamic used to be so fun, what happened? Emily and Sammy can talk without an argument, so why can't two best friends? I'm sorry, I just don't get it.

Love it!

My first podcast ever was Night Vale and this has some similarities to Night Vale. But having just listened to episode 44, jeez. I didn’t realize how attached to these characters I had become. A truly amazing show I can’t wait to be caught up.

BEST FICTIONAL PODCAST EVER!

I love King Falls AM!! I started to listen to podcasts after my cd player broke in my car. This one ranks better that The Black Tapes, Tanus, The Last Movie, and my 2nd favorite "Attention Hellmart Customers". Comedy, drama, and a little horror done right!! I laugh out loud in my car by myself a lot and on the brink of tears when something horrible happens. The actors are great at making it seem REAL. The emotion in their voices is amazing and makes me want to hug them !! Keep up the good work and I can't wait for the next season!!!! Penny L

Getting me through quarantine

King Falls AM was just the lengthy, engaging, funny, well-performed narrative that I needed to get through quarantine! I’ve spent so many late nights listening to this and painting and cooking and snacking and folding laundry. Put in your earbuds and get lost in this world!!!

not-so-sleepy small towns are my jam

I fell in love with King Falls as soon as I listened to the first episode, and I've enjoyed every episode since. I love weird small towns that are more than they seem, I love the characters, and I love the writing. Looking forward to the next phase!
