Episode idea!
Your most recent Candy Store episodes were brilliant! While listening, I had the thought that you may want to invite all of your friends, professional contacts, others, etc., to share their ‘best of the best’ career stories on the podcast, as an episode. Surely most agents have a killer/crazyAF,maximum suspense story from their career. This may be an truly endless source of amazing content, that only you could best mediate, contextualize, and promote! Congrats, best work!

An Explanation of Crime
This is a good show. The fact the Candice was there at the arrest of the Unabomber is epic. I also appreciate that she is compassionate, no-nonsense, and intelligent; this all gives a nuanced take on these crimes which makes it much more interesting.

A bit sensationalist and too many commercials
Doesn’t seem to look deeply into both side of the evidence. Plays kind of like America’s Most Wanted or some other TV tabloid.

It’s good, but outdated format.
In the age of streaming, this part one, part two nonsense needs to fall by the wayside. These podcasts act like putting the entire story into one segment is somehow going to tear the fabric of time and space. I get it, they want you coming back. But that’s what the next episode is for. If the podcast is good, which this is, listeners will come back. Imagine your friend calling you, and they want to tell you what happened to them, then halfway into the story they say they’ll call you next week with the rest of the story. See how stupid that sounds? It’s the same here. It made sense for tv shows that couldn’t fit an entire narrative into their allotted time slot, “to be continued…”. This ain’t it, though. Get with the times, people.

The Candy Store
Normally I love this show. Specifically because of Candice’s narration. What I really dislike are these discussions with the other person when I just want to hear a good story. It’s always disappointing when these episodes happen and I immediately skip it.

Just say no to Julie
Stick to the true crime no one cares for your personal stories. The banter is awful. Julie needs to go.

Fort Bragg Murders
Thank you for a great podcast, your expertise and insight is much appreciated. I would love to hear your analysis of two current cases: The Murdaugh Murders (South Carolina) and the Piketon Massacre (Ohio). Best to you!

Obsessed!
This podcast is amazing! Candice is informative and uses her previous experiences to explain her thoughts. I have loved Candice since Deadly Women and Facing Evil. Highly recommend to anyone who loves true crime!

Too much editorializing
I like the podcast in general, but Candice does a LOT of editorializing, which is sometimes inappropriate.

Interesting analysis from a seasoned professional profiler
Ms. DeLong’s skilled analysis of the killers’ minds and what might have contributed to or motivated their actions is the most interesting part of the show. I also like hearing her perspective on cases she actually worked on as one of the FBI’s first female profilers.

Like with one exception
I love listening to Candace. Every episode where she walks us through events are wonderful.
However, the episodes that include her producer Julie ruin everything. Julie is annoying and arrogant and always finds ways to bring herself into things or circle it back to her. Not why we listen to this podcast.

She is a nurse that worked for fbi
She is not an investigator, psychiatrist or criminal profiler. She is a nurse.

True Professional’s Insight
The reviews titled “Honesty” and “Utter perfection” articulated what I came here to say - but to reiterate/add:I appreciate this podcast because it offers not only the facts of the case (some of which are familiar to me already), but gives insight into why I’m intrigued by the crime in the first place: *why did they do it?* *how can a human do this to other humans?*As I’ve tried to listen to other podcasts in between waiting for new episodes, I’ve come to appreciate Candace DeLong even more. The chatty, joking tone and use of slang and profanity on other true crime podcasts turns me off, whereas Candace is professional and passionate about this as a field of study and a pursuit of justice for victims. This podcast seems to have a reason beyond just exploitation and feeding morbid curiosity- you can learn from what happened to others, and learn about human psychology.

Great listen
I really enjoy this podcast because it doesn’t feel like a normal true crime podcast that glorifies the murder and gore. The narrator does a great job at breaking down the psychology of the criminal. I also really like the episodes where she talks to her producer- especially when she shares stories about her time in the FBI.

Love this podcast
This is my new favorite podcast! Love the way the narrator tells the stories and how she breaks down the psychological makeup of the killers. I also like the guests she has on and the ways she and her producer tell stories to each other- all around a great listen!

Narrators voice is disgust
All of you podcast episodes to seem to be highly biased, the narrators voice is often so full of repulsion and disgust I can barely manage to pay attention to the story.

Honesty
I’ve been a Candace Delong fab since Snapped and Deadly Women. In addition to the way she breaks down the psychology of people who’ve committed crimes, I appreciated the pragmatism she brings to crime and how we view and cover crime in America. Listening to the episode on Daniel Robinson and she mentioned he backlash the show received when discussing white women syndrome in a Gabby Petito episode. I applaud the show having these these conversations about these very real issues within our society and using their platform and reach to bring attention to cases like Daniel’s.

Just ok
Really wanted to like this one. All of her topics have been covered multiple times by others and her diagnoses are ok but presumptuous. She seems very impressed with herself most of the time.

Utter perfection
Candice DeLong is my favorite narrator. She explains thoroughly, and doesn’t spend time joking around and chatting with any other hosts. She gets right into the storyline and is straight forward in her approach. After bingeing the entire series, I now look forward to the new episodes each week.
