    “Online therapist”

I’m a licensed, VERY educated mental health therapist and since the pandemic, I see all clients online. The disdain that was shown for “online therapists” is ridiculous, haughty, and arrogant. Do better, Candace.

There was another school shooting before Columbine

In Season 2, episode 8 (Murder/suicide), you say that the first school shooting took place at Colombine. It was not. On January 17th, 1989, at Cleveland Elementary School, where my sister taught, a man gunned down five children and wounded 32. Everyone seems to forget this. I hope you’ll correct your mistake.

    One of the best!

Candice is so smart & I could listen to her all day. She’s a great female role model. I love how she breaks things down, gives enough detail but is still respectful, and tells it like it is! Her personality is great. This is definitely one of my favorite podcasts all around, but especially for the “true crime” genre! I highly recommend it!

    The Absolute Queen of Crime

This is the most fascinating podcast I have ever heard. I have been a fan of Candace for so long and she does not disappoint. She’s the best.

    Fascinating

I’ve really enjoyed this podcast and I’ve learned a lot. I’m not a huge fan of when they talk about things like recapping the season. I’m interested in the psychology of the crimes. I used to feel that the presentation felt stilted because it’s clearly being read, but I’ve grown used to it and it doesn’t bother me. I did enjoy the Ask Candace (Candice?) Anything episode. It’s interesting to learn about her mind just as much. I really like learning how people tick and this podcast is really good at presenting the information in a comprehensive manner.

    Best Crime Podcast Out There

Meticulously researched, narrated, and I am particularly drawn to two things: the method of narration that starts with the crimes then goes back to the childhood of the killer and what turned them into what they became, and Candice’s obvious intensive knowledge and humanity with which she relays stories both close to her in a professional sense, and those not. I don’t think this kind of personal and humanistic narrative would be the same with the typical male host.

    Amazing!

I'd love to hear Candice do a deep dive on the Toy Box killer and Gary Heidnik. Incredible podcast!

    Good Premise

I love the idea of looking in depth at the why behind the crime. She is obviously very knowledgeable and presents interesting cases. I had to mark down a star because her reading voice is just so unnatural and stilted. It’s a pity because I am interested in what she has to say but the way that she says it is grating. Please get a voice coach.

This is what I’ve been looking for!

In all the true crime podcasts I listen to, I’m always asking “why?”. I listened all the episodes so now I have to wait, very impatiently.

    Disappointed

A few years ago there were a couple of true crime podcasts that were obviously not much more than synopsis of Netflix documentaries. There was no research done, nothing more than someone who had watched a Netflix doc and retold it without video and called it a podcast. I really didn’t expect this from Candace. The swatter/ bomb threat episode was word for word plagiarism of the Netflix documentary. The only lazier, lamer way to podcast is to just go on Wikipedia and read that aloud. And there are podcasts that do just that. Super disappointed that you have stooped so low. Time to quit.

Why go into HOW they did these things?

Some things are better left unsaid especially for copycats. Let’s NOT get into how they did their crime like what apps they used or how they called this and that so they wouldn’t be detected. I mean come on? Just get to the psyche part that’s why we’re all here. Finally season 2 is here but what a bad episode to start. I was getting sick of the rerun episodes. Can there be more of cases Candace actually worked on??

    Best forensic psychology podcast

I love this show because it goes in depth about the psychological factors that lead to the event being discussed. Also, the host doesn’t go into extensive detail about the violence inflicted on victims, which when discussing true crime is important. It’s very factual based and an intellectual discussion rather than other podcasts that feel too “true crime” obsessed.

Great for true crime and psychology lovers.

This podcast makes me want to be an FBI profiler, basically! I find most of the episodes really engaging, although the details of some of the crimes are hard to listen to. I do wish Candace would do a little more ad-libbing. During the episodes with a second person, you can tell she really cares about this content and the insights are just as good as when the episode is more scripted.

    Absolutely fascinating

I never get tired of listening to her explanations and reasoning behind each killer’s crimes. I am fascinated by the “ how did they get to this point” analysis! It is brilliant, respectful of the victims, and compassionate to the killers. Highly recommend! Definitely my ultimate favorite true crime podcast ( and I have listened to almost all of them , at least the popular ones) Thank you for this podcast! Please keep the episodes coming!
