Mark is the best.

I absolutely love Mark's reviews. His Kermode Uncut is fantastic. No one does a better job. Whether or not I agree with his take, I always appreciate the depth with which he views cinema.

Great interviewer

I just listened to the latitude episode and I really loved how Mark gives his guests so much time to talk and go off on tangents, it felt like a real conversation, because it was.

Entertaining.

A fantastic podcast from (in my opinion) the UKs leading film critic. The show is thoroughly enjoyable wherever it’s showcasing some of the highlights from a MK3D show or containing just a conversation - often with the companionable Jack Howard. This is highly Recommended.

“Like, like, like”.

I had to turn this off after 4 minutes due to the sidekick continually saying ‘like’ at the end of every sentence. I didn’t ‘like’ it. Like.

Kermode Unchained

With the recent ‘Kermode Uncut’ series coming to an end, I believe that this podcast can become the perfect platform for Mark to educate, entertain and inform his following in a truly wholesome and satisfying way. I’m loving the variety so far and each guest brings with them something fresh for Mark to chew on. Kermode at his finest, nerdiest, most searing and most endearing. Long live the king!

Review

I really enjoyed the ‘Straw Dogs’ location section, and remember it now not by what was said, but by the pictures you painted in my imagination. Almost like a memory. I never liked ‘The Shining’ as a film anyway, but the inclusive discussion makes for very good listening.

Too much

There is too much Kermode around without another perishing podcast. Mayo keeps MK genial but Jack Howard (who he?) facilitates MK’s unbearable know-it-all side.

A fine accompaniment

If you’ve been a fan of the 5 live show for years then this is the perfect accompaniment for those who went a deeper dive into the film conversation that makes Mark the best in his field.Intelligent, thoughtful and often fascinating, this is a podcast that looks at movies through the special lens of Mark Kermode. Initially without Simon it seems that it could feel less grounded than the 5 live show but Marks passion shines through and it’s always a highly entertaining listen.

Great format but like totally annoying sometimes

Been a fan of Mark Kermode since his days doing film reviews on the Simon Mayo morning show back on Radio One. I regularly seek out his content buy his books and listen to Wittertainment. Sadly this podcast might not be something I can listen to. The copious and unnecessary use of the word “like” by one of the co-presenters affects me like fingernails on a chalkboard.Admittedly it’s an issue I have to deal with personally rather than expect others to change but I find it unbearable and can only listen to episodes where that specific presenter is absent. Otherwise it’s a great podcast with interesting guests and subject matter I adore. If you can tolerate the “likes” add two stars :)

Audio problems and scripting

Agree with others. The audio is all over the place. Fuzzy and blown out, sometimes too LOUD and sometimes muffled or echoed. In addition the ‘other guy’ laughs like a giddy child and like says like like totally too much like literally like all the time
