Hypnotic

I love this podcast. Nina’s soothing voice put me in dreamlike state when I listen to her stories, and I feel like I’m absorbing her advice without effort or strain. Also, in a world full of exceptionally long podcast episodes, Nina’s bite-sized episodes don’t require a lot of commitment but are still packed with thoughtful advice.

The episode “All The Story You Need” was transformative for me in the way I understood my writing. I want to get that entire episode tattooed on my body.

Inspires me to keep writing

I listen to this before I write to keep myself inspired and motivated. The very first episode reminded me why I do this and gave me the energy I needed to sit down to work. I couldn’t recommend this podcast more.

Amazing!

I‘ve never been too interested in podcasts, but this podcast is absolutely amazing. Nina tells stories in an artsy way, she shares life experience, she gives amazing advice and tips. I also love the length of the episodes. 40 min is often too long, but Nina doesn‘t waste the first 10 min updating everybody on all sorts of things, she just gets straight to the point. I love it!!

Unlike any writing podcast I’ve heard before

I didn’t think I would like the format initially—Lacour reads pre-written notes, as opposed to the spontaneous interviews that I’m used to on other podcasts. But her voice is so soothing, just like her message that your stories can take as long as they have to, and that there is an audience for quiet stories and details. I listened to it every morning during my commute last week, and during those days, I was abnormally productive in all of my creative endeavors. And I don’t think it was a coincidence.

What I needed when I needed it

I've listened to 3 episodes and I'm hooked. I feel such affinity for Nina and her careful, well thought out words - her voice has brightened the darker places in my writer's soul and I am truly grateful that she decided to make this podcast.

So insightful

These episodes always seem like they should feel short because they are short. But Nina packs so much insight and helpful advice into every episode, by the end I feel like I’ve received like, an hour of content. If you already listen to a bunch of writing podcasts, this one feels like a palate cleanser - each episode so focused and kind. If you don’t listen to any writing podcasts, this would be a great one to start with. Thank you, Nina!!

Advice that works for any writing

I'm not a creative writer, but I am working on a dissertation at the moment. Despite the difference in genre, I find Nina's beautiful words and suggestions so inspiring. After listening to her podcast, I find myself drawn to my computer--ready to work and filled with energy. Thank you!

Authentic and inspiring

This the podcast I was craving and I didn’t even know it. Nina’s calm voice and honest messages make me feel simultaneously like it’s okay if I didn’t quite get where I needed today AND that I can and will get there tomorrow. I also love that the podcast is brief, which inspires contemplation after listening. Thank you for embarking on this new venture, Nina!

Thank you

Thank you Nina, I just listened to the first three episodes in a mini binge on the eve of a deadline when I find myself lacking the confidence and the energy to keep going. This has really helped me. You’re the best.

I don’t even write

My creative pursuits are culinary. Bread to be specific. And while my tools are my hands and flour rather than pen and paper, Nina’s thoughtful reflections on her creative pursuits speak as an author speak to me as a baker. Not to mention she keeps it real by highlighting major social issues of our time. Well worth the listen 🌾❤️🥖📝
