Smiles a plenty

I really enjoy listening to this show. John and Jessie’s back and forth really make for a great nerdy pop cultural reference salad that will sure have you ditching meat for rabbit food. #nevernotchuckling

John Hodgeman supports tree murder.

Judge Jon HodgEman’s arrogance is entertaining for awhile until you realize he’s just a raging nihilist who’s knowledge consists only of made up facts and his co-host Jesse thorn is a hack who just derails the podcast to laugh at his own cringy references.

You just lost me

I’m giving John Hodgman 5 stars out of respect for the past. I used to respect him as a wise, worldly man. I used to love his books and podcast. When I listened to the Moms Will Mom episode (May 2019), I lost respect for him and unsubscribed. He admitted to being shook up by simply SEEING a MAGA shirt in a rest stop. The man wearing it was silently leaving the restroom and going about his business. John, it’s a sad day when an open-minded, non-bigoted liberal man stereotypes another human and fears him because of it. To claim that wearing a shirt that supports the president is an act of aggression is ridiculous and a product of paranoia. Is a gay pride shirt an aggressive act of hate toward heterosexual couples? Should I be afraid?John also was so close-minded as to say he would be shocked if Trump voters listened to his show. Why can’t a human be open to hearing out all points of view, even those that do not exactly match their own? I am a Libertarian, not a Trump voter, but I also don’t agree with all the views expressed on the show, but I enjoy the humor, and I like how real and passionate people are about their side of the story. Your show is ABOUT people that don’t agree on any given subject, and your role is to moderate, help the other side compassionately see what they didn’t see before, and being people together. I liked that until I saw that you don’t actually feel that way. I’m disappointed in your narrow-minded and childish rant in this episode. I held you in higher esteem than that, John. I’m sorry it had to end this way.

Extremely wise while also hysterical

Listening to this podcast has honestly improved my life, as the Judge’s wisdom is applicable in so many scenarios. I think my husband has now grown accustomed to hearing “Well John Hodgman says you like what you like” or “John Hodgman says be mindful of the work you leave for others” and so many more. It’s like I have a wise uncle guiding me through life. Also as a member of the super smart narcissists only child club I felt truly seen and understood and honestly came to understand myself better because of his reflections on what it means to be an only child. Overall- the show is laugh out loud funny every week, while simultaneously improving my quality of life in meaningful ways. You can’t ask for more from a podcast.

Funny heartwarming and relaxing

I love jjho. John Hodgman is such a funny guy but he’s very endearing as well. I literally fall asleep to this podcast every night. Very good for a person like me suffering with anxiety that needs that little happy place at the end of the day. Also John is one of the most personable if not THE most personable of celebs I’ve come across

Funny & Thoughtful

Started with the podcast, and found myself binge listening to Medallion Status and then Vacationland. All highly recommended to to anyone who is a fan of thoughtful humor sprinkled with life lessons. Just can’t get enough Hodgman!

Nothing makes me smile like this podcast. John Hodgman is quickly becoming one of my favorites (I know, late to the party). Classic but not old-fashioned; witty.

Love everything about this show

In these trying times, John and Jessie are anoh so needed oasis of kindness and hilarity. I also love how the judge does not let men-with-systems get away with their inconsiderate nonsense

I Judge This Podcast as GUILTY...

Of being AWESOME! More than men with systems against exhausted wives, this gets into all sorts of predicaments and squabbles that will leave you yearning for more justice.Should be required listening for law students.

Gets worse every episode

Was amusing enough for awhile, then Judge and "Bailiff" Jesse Thorn ruled decisions such as it's okay to sneak your dog waste into neighbors' trash cans. Combine with Jesse judging people on the clothes they wear and if they wear them correctly, it became too much. Whatever tolerance and respect is, this is the opposite. Maybe I'll tune in again when part-time bailiff Monte fills in permanently.

The greatest thing on the Internet

This podcast is the best one on the internets. I do not miss an episode. While I don't always agree 100% with the Judge, I completely respect both he and Bailiff Jesse. You won't be sorry you listened. They have the best guests (please invite more onto the show).
