Great podcast!!

The host Casey is very enthusiastic and cares deeply about the subject of parenting. She is a parent herself, and so she draws upon her own experience as well as the experience of other parenting experts. This depth and breadth of knowledge about parenting makes her a great guide for any parent who wants to raise great kids. Keep up the good work Casey!!

The BEST parenting podcast

I have been listening to your podcast, Casey, for many months now - and wanted to tell you how much I LOVE it. I am sixty-eight years old and am a parent educator who was trained in the positive discipline "philosophy" in the mid 80's. You are expertly providing a clear parenting destination with a path that is full of encouragement, information, support, humor and, most importantly, the “why”. My husband and I had "the courage to be the imperfect" parents of three - now adult - kids who we raised following the Positive Discipline model ~ which you now so masterfully teach. I took my first parenting class when our first two kids were three and one - and I was hooked .I can tell your listeners that the positive discipline training was the best thing we ever did as parents ! I still tell young parents that all the time. We had our moments - and we didn't do it perfectly - but we had great relationships with our kids all the way through ( and still do...) and can honestly say we really enjoyed the middle school and teen years :-). Our kids often remarked about the fact that our family operated differently than almost all of their friends' families - and they were - and still are - grateful for that. We feel so blessed that we have three caring, connected, confident, courageous and contributing (big) kids. All of them use their "naturally occurring" positive discipline way-of-being in their relationships and in their work (music therapist, high school science teacher and LCSW). Two of them are PD parents themselves now. Our youngest ( at 31) led me to YOU and Joyful Courage. But the supreme icing on the cake is that I get to take care of our granddaughter, now three years old, while while mom and dad are at work. So now I am beyond blessed to get to be the positive discipline Grammie, partnering with the positive discipline mommy and daddy, in raising the next generation. This is what you and your listeners have to look forward to.Sooooo.....this was a very long-winded way of saying thank you so much for what you are doing . Your knowledge of and groundedness in Positive Discipline, passion for it, honesty, warmth and expert interviewing skills shine through every podcast. I am here to tell your listeners / followers that positive discipline absolutely works in creating a (usually !) harmonious family where all the members feel cared for, understood, valued and supported in this life-long journey of working to become our best selves ! Being a parent is, by far, the hardest job I've ever done - AND, by HUGE leaps and bounds, without a doubt, my most rewarding life's work. Gradually you are changing hearts and minds throughout the world. With a whole lot of appreciation and fondness, Casey ~ thank you !

Practice, practice, practice.....makes human

I discovered this podcast not that long ago but it’s so good, I’m almost caught up with all the available episodes. It’s so good, it has made it on my nightly list of “things I am thankful for today” on more than one occasion. I thought I understood what Positive Parenting was, that reading books about it and comprehending the principles was enough. Of course, I was wrong. I knew what to do but kept failing and losing my cool, not responding as my child needed me to. What I required was a regular dose of reality, a constant reminder that this gig is tough and all I can do is keep learning, confronting my childhood “ghosts” and practicing self care and personal improvement. I also needed to know I was not alone. Casey’s genuine and positive delivery reminds me of that. Her candor, her from-the-trenches advice and awesome interviews regularly solidify the fact that parenting is a journey and that striving for perfection is futile. “Trust in the process” has become my current mantra. Do yourself a favor and listen to this podcast. Join the Live and Love with Joyful Courage community! ❤️

Down to earth and REAL

Love Casey’s positive attitude while still keeping it real! She provides some awesome insight and tips while gently keeping the reminder that we are evolving and changing. Positive parenting and discipline doesn’t mean it’s always peaceful and calm, and Casey gives her heart to convey the real balance! Great content girl!

Only love today

Casey brings real life parenting and a wealth of knowledge every week in her podcast. Her honesty and her ability to be to real and transparent is so appreciated. I have always felt that the traditional parenting styles of the past never fit how I wanted to parent my kids, but I needed more insight and discussion surrounding it. I am so very grateful for Casey’s weekly podcast, Facebook groups, and classes. The way she discusses the practice of positive discipline has provided me with so many new tools and a new community of parents wanting the same things. For that, I am eternally thankful. Love you Casey ❤️

Kindred Spirit

Casey is like my long lost sister that I’ve never met. Like minded is an understatement. When i was feeling down with my mothering I searched “positive discipline” in podcasts and Eureka! Joyful Courage appeared like a bright star in the dark night. I eat this podcast up, i tell every parent i know about it. I find myself nodding while i listen as i do my housework. I feel like my hand is being held and I’m gently being led through this incredibly strategic yet unpredictable “chess game” of parenting. Do yourself a favor and soak in the wisdom that Joyful Courage so generously shares. Thank you, Casey, much love from the heartland.
