Fascinating!

As a native Missourian and former resident of Kansas City, I thoroughly enjoyed listening to Mr. O'Laughlin's account of Irish history. Even if you aren't from the places mentioned in this series, you will find yourself drawn in and I guarantee you won't want to stop listening! Well done, Well done.

Missouri Irish

I had no idea how much history there was in the midwest with Irish settelers until I found this podcast. Being from Missouri myself, I decided to find out as much as I could about my irish ancestors. This was a fantastic resource to get me started learning about the history of my family.
Michael O'Laughlin is the most knowledgable author in his field - this podcast is proof.
The detail and wealth of information found in this series is unbelievable. I found myself traveling deeper and deeper into the roots of all Irish ancestors that came from Ireland to America.
The interviews in each of these podcasts are filled with insight and fascinating personal stories.
Each topic is relevant, to the point, and meaningful to not only O'Laughlin - but the guests and listeners as well.
After listening to each of these, I have learned more about my Irish Roots than I ever thought possible, and followed up by viewing some of O'Laughlin's best selling books. I suggest you do the same.
Intriguing and intelligent - this is your one-stop resource for all things Irish History.

Thanks from Kansas City

There is no other way I could learn the history of the Irish like this. Thanks for opening up the local history of the Irish in America. We also enjoy your first podcast series on Families and genealogy at the Irish Roots Cafe. I appreciate the notes from the 1800's and the earlier way of life. You cover a wide range of topics and its always entertaining, Keep 'em coming Mike !
