Well done & well researched

I have only listened to season 2, but this podcast is so well researched. It’s one of those podcasts that will make you unbelievably angry at the law system as well as people in general. Hopefully, Curtis Flowers will FINALLY get a fair trial and then he will FINALLY be free after 20+ years of a racist prosecutor, juries, and judge.

One if best podcasts I’ve listened to!

A friend told me to listen to season 2 of this podcast and I’ve been hooked. I am so impressed by the through investigation these reporters conducted. Living in a liberal state myself, it is easy to forget that states like Mississippi still have racial issues that would be appalling in other areas of the country. I have never donated to a podcast before and I listen to a lot of them, but the impact these reporters made not just in this case, but also the way all of its listeners may view our legal system is important. So, I donated and I hope other listeners will as well so that this kind of impact can continue to be made and this work is rewarded.

Never Giving Up

Amazing how there is still systematic racism in this country. This Curtis Flowers series proved it beyond a shadow of a doubt. Thank you for never giving up.

Eh.

I think that feeling sorry for sex offenders is disgusting. However I think the podcast itself is decent. I enjoyed listening to the podcast and how it is like in prison while facing the corona virus.

Brilliant

Season 3 is an amazing piece of investigative journalism. The other seasons are fantastic too, but if you want to rip away any pretense that racism isn’t real and alive, listen to season 3. Madeline and her team are the kind of reporters that could topple this system with their quiet, kind, and unrelenting questions.

So corrupt.

These corrupt officers and lawyers ! So DISGUSTING. So ridiculous that these horrible men haven’t been exposed and sued. This is unreal how corrupt the whole system in Mississippi truly is .

Incredible

I have been listening to in the dark since season 1 episode 1 and it’s always an amazing listen. Not just a podcast to listen to as you drive to work but one to sit down at night and spend an hour with. To me this is what true journalism is. Fair and balanced showing both sides of a story and asking the hard questions. I just listened to coronavirus episode 5. Amazing as usual. But those last 2 minutes were deeply touching and very relevant to our times. The subject of this episode realizes that he can’t expect justice. That the easiest way is just to say “yes ma’am” to the judge.

CoVid-19 series

Loved the first two series of In the Dark. Unsubscribed from podcast third season. Have gotten too much CoVid-19 coverage from every source out there . Will resubscribe for series 4.

Episode 3

Episode 3 about the hospital was particularly moving to me. Such a hard time to be practicing medicine. My heart really goes out to Dr. Faught and her team.

Best podcast out there.

Season one is fantastic. Season two is the desperately sad, thrilling mystery that’s is too ridiculous to be true but sadly reveals the depths of institutional racism in our criminal justice system. Will the horrible miscarriage of justice be undone? Listen to this masterfully put together podcast to find out! (Also corona virus in the delta is pretty dang entertaining. Geno is a character)

Good except for the agenda of pushing for sympathy for sex offenders

Good so far except for the “I feel sorry for sex offenders” after they served their time. Sorry no. You rape a baby you’re not getting my sympathy that you can’t find a house and have too many restrictions.

ITD was one of the first podcasts I listened to, and I was hooked immediately. I listened to season 2 first because I had overheard my fiancé listening and immediately became intrigued. Madeleine is an excellent host.Edit: Just listened to the Watermelon Slim episode. I wish it was a bit longer, but it really cut to the core of me. Madeleine knows how to ask some real-ass questions.
