This podcast is so nourishing!

Loving this podcast so much! I’m a mindfulness practitioner and busy toddler mom, and it feels like just what I need to be listening to right now. I don’t have time to listen to many things but I am finding time for this one!

Reconnect to empathy

This is the place I go when I need my dose of empathy in our hyperconnected world! Jocelyn and her guests seem to highlight the basic truth when we slow down, we can see the world (and the people we interact with everyday) more closely as it is/they are, not as we are. The questions she asks string together concepts that might not be immediately obvious but are hugely impactful because her guests can really SHARE. It's not fluff and that's refreshing. Thanks Jocelyn!!

Just What I Needed

If I weren’t in the middle of moving, I would leave a more detailed review. But maybe the fact that I’m in the middle of moving and still took the time to review it speaks volumes. Some episodes I will go back to and listen again! Great work!

get a voice coach

great guests, good concept and goid ideas marred by the host’s unlistenable rusty, creaky vocal fry. like radio, all we have here in perceptual terms is the sound of the voices. a radio professional would have implicitly understood that their vocal quality and performance are integral elements of any spoken word presentation. the host should consider investing some time and money in a good vocal coach.

Speaking to my soul

I cannot thank Jocelyn enough for her insight and thought-provoking words. She hits on pain and problem points I hadn’t yet verbalized myself. Knowing I’m not alone in these thoughts and struggles as an entrepreneur gives me the courage and support to continue building my brand at an enjoyable pace.

One of my very favorite podcasts

I have listened to every single episode and with possibly one or two exceptions I have found all episodes to be extremely informative, well thought out, and full of excellent interviews. All topics were relevant to my life, again with just one or two exceptions. I’m a huge fan of Jocelyn now, and am always excited for a new episode to come out.

Human, thoughtful, and thought-provoking

'Hurry Slowly' beams thoughtfully-crafted nuggets of wisdom to my ears, and often seem custom-tailored just for me—though each episode likely resonates with a large audience of creative and entrepreneurial-minded people. There is a personal, in-the-same-room quality to the podcast—and a poetic intro and outro that helps contextualize the 1-to-1 interviews in each episode, and connects them to the broader themes of the show: reframing creative work, awareness, building a sustainable approach to life/work balance, etc.I read Jocelyn's book 'Unsubscribe' a little while before Hurry Slowly's first episode was published. The ideas she articulated in that book helped rethink my approach to email and communication. On a larger level, the thinking she offered motivated me to consider more sustainable—and human—ways to be out there in the world as a creative professional. Tackling email was like 'flossing one tooth'—and rose my awareness about the possibilities out there for doing the work I care about, while being conscious of avoiding creative burnout.

Best Add of My Year

Jocelyn’s guests have brought diverse new perspectives to my life. I find myself writing down a line or two during each episode. Jocelyn herself has inspired me to take new risks in life and relish every moment as best I can. I’m less stressed and much more self-aware than I was this time last year. And my iPhone screen time is down significantly. Highly recommend this excellent podcast.
