Excellent introduction

This show is amazing not only for the changing cast but because we see lots of classes used at low levels! It’s perfect to introduce people to dnd!

Great show!

I’m relatively new to DnD, and this podcast has really helped me understand the mechanics of actual gameplay. I love all the shenanigans that the players get into and how they use the most random things to get out of problems. This podcast has inspired me to DM a home brew that my wife and a couple friends are going to try out. We are all new to DnD but after getting through three seasons of How Friends Roll I feel like we are going to be able to have tons of fun with it.

OHHHHHH MANNNN

First off, THANK YOU for getting me into DnD, you opened up an entire universe filled with imagination and pure awesomeness that fills my mundane life currently as a high school student(Senior). Currently I’m on episode 3.10, 🔥🔥🔥. Crazy good idea with the location of this story arc, and man that ending🥺. Keep up with Great work Sir Sully!!! 👍

Great

I’m writing this just because I thought that this podcast deserves some respect, even though it’s over. I hope that when HFR reaches 60 patrons, an arc 5 comes out.

Always a Fun Romp

I made this account just so I could leave a review on this show, and will do so on a few others now; but it was this show that introduced me to real play podcast. I came across this podcast about 3 years ago when there was a crossover with Advantage, another show I can highly recommend. This show has made long commutes and yardwork so much easier as I laugh like a mad man mowing the lawn while my neighbors look at me like I am a crazy person. I am looking forward to the next episode! I'll drink a shot of that Red :):):):) in your honor!

Great Series of Arcs!

It took me a while to find a podcast I liked! I love the story and that Sully wants PCs to do crazy and outlandish stuff. I also love that it isn’t focused on being politically correct.I have enjoyed arcs 1-3, but have fallen completely in love with arc 4! So, so funny and amazing PCs and backstories of each PC!I wish Sully would spend some time explaining how d&d works to players. Teach them the mechanics and how characters are made and how modifiers are determined. That would help smoothness of podcast and make you all much more “professional”!A note of advice on responding to players asking what they can and can’t do: help players (or encourage them to look up their spell/ skill/ ability descriptions in PHB) understand what their spell/ skill/ ability does, as they would know from experience. I do love that you will not say if their specific action will be successful, or play out how they want.Keep up the great work! Looking forward to more arcs and more episodes!

So smart and fun

This show has a great balance of smart use of gameplay, and witty fun. I had never thought of D&D as being sort of improv comedy, and these guys show how that is awesome. Love it!

This show is hilarious. The rotating cast is always fun and the DM has a great way of explaining mechanics. Such a good show.

You are beating TAZ in my book

I love both equally but as they changed games you continued to follow this flawless genre! I’m interest in joining if a spot is available and willing to play a ore made and learn roll 20. Or can dice rolls. Love what your doing please continue.

Most Interesting

I listen to most of the popular real play D&D podcasts out there, including some on Twitch. I just finished arc 3 and I have to say that is the first time a character(s) actually emotionally moved me. Plus I love that sick intro music.

A favorite

I strongly recommended this podcast. Season four hooked me immediately with the episodes of Moistessa and Vivian! The players are all clearly having fun and it is a good balance of story and shenanigans. I really liked Sully’s idea of how he was giving out advantage roles. He is a solid DM. The audio is good and clear throughout the podcast. I really think you will enjoy this and soon you too will be saying, “ death comes for us all!”I’ve started going backwards to listen to season three and I am enjoying it also. Steven

Awesome show!!!

I should have left a review earlier in my binge listening, but this show is so funny!! I love the short campaigns. I can download an arc and listen to it at work quickly. I’ve laughed obnoxiously loud many times and have disturbed my coworkers a lot I think. This show is definitely worth a listen!!!

Awesome Show!

I’m a 12 year old DM that started listening to this show when it was still in its first arc. This show has inspired me so much for my groups campaign. My favorite arc was the third, I loved the mechanisms you used in that one.Keep up the good work!

Fun engaging stories. Sully creates interesting, unique mini-campaigns, with different casts and characters for each. Listen to this podcast, it's a good time.

10/10 would recommend

I’m brand new to d&d and just started my first campaign ever last night. It was awesome and I have to say that this show did a great job of preparing me for it. It really gives you a feel for how the game is played and is also one of the most entertaining things I’ve ever listened to. Sully and all the characters on the show are amazing role players and the storylines will keep you at the edge of your seat. I am so glad I found this show and if you’re reading this review you should definitely give it a chance regardless of your d&d interest/experience.
