The ads have become unbearable.
Paul’s as reads are terrible and there are waaaaaay too many ads. Just awful. The show starts with up to three minutes of ads and then does more ads less than ten minutes later.

The pod that started it all
I’ll never be able to accurately express just how much this show and the people on it mean to me. It is a podcast about movies, bad ones. But the real joy is listening to friends make each other laugh through all the confusion. GEOSTORM!!!!!!!!!!

Hit and miss
The show is “hit and miss” which is to be expected for a podcast that’s been around so long. The best shows are the live shows; the energy is higher and more spontaneous. The trio know how to work the audience in these live shows. Go into the back catalog for some truly entertaining episodes. It’s only recently the show has become hit & miss for me. The movies selected just are not entertainingly bad, the are quite dull, especially when they get into a Hallmark or Lifetime movie or some of the direct to streaming movies. That can make it difficult to watch something before an episode airs to be in on the jokes. For the most part, it’s still a fun show, June, Paul and Jason are delightfully witty, astute and their insider knowledge of movie making adds insight to their criticisms of the movies. It’s usually a pretty good time.

Favorite podcast, hands down
Absolutely love this podcast. The hosts are great, their guests add their unique voices, and the films they pick out are wild. Watching the movies before listening to the show is a near must, but if you can’t you’ll still laugh and enjoy it. Quick question- why is June only listed on iTunes as a guest instead of a host? That’s not cool…

June is my spirit animal
Ok, first off I have been listening to this amazing group of talented actors/comedians for YEARS! Like literally a freaking decade, I use to listen to this podcast at night when I was up with the crankiest newborn baby known to mankind and y’all seriously helped me laugh when all I wanted to do was cry. That baby is now TEN years old and while he is still making me cry, no worries!! I just put on my AirPods, listen to your latest episode and ignore him!! So thanks for helping me be the best parent I can be, yay!! Oh and I love love June, she can hold her own with any of the guys!!

Andrea Savage 😃
Just when I thought I couldn’t love Paul, June, and Jason any more, they have the fabulous Andrea Savage on the podcast. Always happy to see her :) thanks!

Really Depends On The Movie
Went with an average score here because what I’ve learned is that the joy I get out of this podcast fluctuates wildly. Taking shots at the cheesy horror and 80s action movies I love, this is a flawless gem of a show. Spending an hour listening to riffs about a Hallmark movie I will never see or understand conceptually? Not so much fun.

Yuck
I’m sick of people being so political! If you listen to this your just going to be missing out on something else! Go to ITunes or Pandora listen to some good music!

If you listen to only one “bad movie podcast”…
There are countless podcasts on cinema gone awry. This one distinguishes itself by approaching these movies with openness. When the hosts ask HDTGM, it’s not a slam; it’s an expression of wonder that creative decisions so improbable actually made it through the gauntlets of artistic deliberation and industry considerations. While the movie in question might or might not be enjoyed, its unique sparks are always appreciated. So many “bad movie podcasts” smugly treat odd films as a springboard for competitive dog-kicking laced with smell-me cleverness … the good-natured HDTGM digs deeper and feels better.

My Favorite Podcast
No matter what mood I’m in these 3 always crack me up! Love their banter and love how they break down the absurdity of these films. Can’t seem to find another podcast that makes me laugh quite as hard as this one.

The pod that got me into podcasts
The title says it all, I've been listening for almost a decade, they make it look easy but their specific comedy and chemistry is what makes this such a special podcast. Worth it for anyone looking to get into any type of podcasts, so funny and perfect

Listen to The Flop House instead
Blatant rip off of a far superior podcast - “The Flop House.” Go listen to them instead. Way funnier and not hidden behind a weird paywall!
