My favorite podcast! Interesting topics on psychology presented and explained in an engaging manner. I especially like the unsung hero tribute at the end. Great job by Shankar Vedantam and the entire crew. Thank you for making my commutes to and from office interesting!
I’ve been a constant listener of this podcast for over a year and haven’t missed a broadcast. This says a lot as I am a regular listener of podcasts but no other has managed to keep my complete attention. I find the content interesting and applicable to life. The smart reporting and questions are a delight and I have recommended this podcast to numerous people. Thank you for the wonderful weekly mental stimulation.
I so much enjoy your podcasts. I find myself awaiting the next podcast. The subjects are well researched, give pause for thought and engages interesting guests. I have, and will continue, to share this gem with friends and colleagues. Keep up the great work.
I used to LOVE this podcasts and then it turned out too oriented too political... on top of it they’ve been releasing old podcast without indicating it and it’s annoying (lots of people complain about it).Anyhow, the first 2 seasons are awesome and then it went down.
To Mike and ALL people. Part of being human and part of growth is embracing your emotions and sitting with them in a kind way. We push them down to look strong when in fact that can ruin us. Who are these people that don’t allow emotion? Remember empathy is an emotion like others we need to use more positively and productively P.s. love your show.
This was one of my favourite podcasts and I listened from day one. Recently though, they have begun repeating episodes without any indication that it was a repeat. This is really annoying as you get through 10-20 minutes only to realize that you’ve heard the whole thing already. Most podcasts either state in the title or have a quick intro at the beginning of the episode stating that it is an older episode being re-released. Hidden Brain should consider this too since they have been re-releasing episodes very often lately.Other than this, the podcast is great and still one of my favourites.
I am fascinated by each and every one of these podcasts. Shankar Vedantam has an exceptional radio voice and is thoughtful and always fully engaged in each and every show. The productions are thoroughly researched and well nuanced with their sound effects. I love the credits including the unsung heroes. The subject matter and experts are unique, and I always learn something new. I am inspired by the Nobel Laureates and professors who participate and share their knowledge and research in a manner that is not too intimidating considering the subject matter. Please keep it up!! My favorite source of material by far!!!
