A fun trip down memory lane

Steeped deeply in a love of the medium this podcast has a wonderful casual feel to i that is the perfect antidote to agro-bro "gamer culture." I'd like to recomend Magical Pop'n for the Super Famicon.

These guys know what they’re talking about

Xerxes, in his capacity as a fellow Crash Bandicoot hater, is my fave, but the whole crew adds value in their own ways. It’s nice to hear someone who played the game yesterday next to someone who’s played it for decades, and a variety of preferences and debates and whatever.I nominate Katana Zero

Hi-technical excellent taste and flavor

Between the hosts they have a formidable knowledge of old and obscure games, and maintain a collegiate, breezy tone. Probably favorite retro game podcast.I nominate Osman/Cannon Dancer for review!

They Know Games

Fantastic show, put on by people who have played video games for more hours than many kids have been alive. Each episode focuses on a different game and they try their best to rank it in the wide array of games in existence.

Well.....

It’s something it’s just not something good. By far one of the worst gaming podcasts I’ve heard. To be expected out of such ignorant gamers though.

Entertaining enough, but ill-informed

The FFXI episode was my first and I was sorely disappointed. The “expert” they brought in didn’t seem to know basic things about the game. True veterans exist out there and I’m sure they’d be glad to tell you of the true merits. I don’t see how this isn’t completely subjective and stated as such. The NieR episode 153 was somehow worse. Did this guy even play NieR? The one guy who got all of the endings was drowned out by the host - who droned on with conjecture. This episode was especially awful and poorly coordinated. The main character’s name is NieR... if he had played it, he’d know that. They should also spend more time on games they have a lot to say about. Symphony of the night, ocarina of time, etc.

An Easily Digestible Pod

This is a great show for retro and modern gamers alike. Episodes are just the right length to provide plenty of good information without getting overly long and boring. The variety of amongst the hosts keeps things fresh and lively. Everyone is knowledgeable and makes the show entertaining.Nomination: “Rock’n’Roll Racing”, the secret best 16-bit combat racer. ...sorry Super Mario Kart.

Good Times

Where to start? I love this podcast because the hosts manage to take deep dives into what makes any game good or bad while pretty much always avoiding spoilers. This is great for people who have insane backlogs like myself. Each host brings a unique perspective to the conversation and remain incredibly grounded considering the subject matter, and the absurdity of the main goal of the podcast. Never before have I been so blinded, no DEAFENED by completely unadulterated science and logic. That said, I nominate Snowboard Kids 2 to be ranked. I look forward to the ranking, which will inevitably be somewhere above Crash Team Racing. The only mistake ever made on an otherwise flawless podcast!!!

Great show with knowledgeable hosts and entertaining discussions!!!!

Played a lot of these games growing up in the 80s and 90s! Love your teams’ insight and entertaining banter about some of these classics! Your podcast was my first time pledging through Patreon but you all completely deserve it. For a more modern game, I’d love to see you rank Stardew Valley. This was the first game I sunk over 100 hours into since high school.
