Great Farming Podcast

One of the better farming podcasts I’ve come across. Nice mix of broad philosophy and seasonally-oriented nitty gritty for nerds and noobs alike. Highly recommended for anyone interested in sustainable agriculture/gardening. And oh yeah, they grow really nice cannabis!

So good!

I sure appreciate you guys and both of your continually thought provoking perspectives. I have too often leaned toward the rigid and linear aspects of farming and plants, all the while moving more toward the wild and the feral style of gardening as time went by. I find your perspective both grounded and based in things often fairly researched and well know (if not broadly applied), but also pushing me to recognize the ethereal or magical aspects of things, which don’t often mesh well with the more reductionist scientific perspective that tends to dominate a lot of agricultural conversations. I recently heard an interveiw with stamets where he said he thinks there is a convergence of science and mysticism coming in our near future, which when things get quantum etc really resonates with me. Thanks for doing your thing and speaking your truth🙏

Good podcast with great intentions

I really appreciate the views expressed on this podcast with the exception of the anti-scientific opinions. Science is spoken of as an alternative, lacking, take it or leave it system. Science when rightly applied only adds to spiritual understanding, and vice versa. Praising sharing and communication and then criticizing attempts to standardize observations is nonsensical and disappointing to hear. Scientific observation is not the only tool that a gardener must use, but it will be undoubtedly important in informed decision making.

Very informative

The ethics Nick& Liz follow are really mind opening and crucial for people to understand. This is how to farm to save the planet. It’s a must listen for all farmers and earth lovers.

A regenerative farm sounds like a happy farm

Nice introductory episode of the fine folks behind the inspiring cannabis ranch in Southern Oregon. Learned the difference between a Steer and Bull and Heffer and a Cow, talked a little River and Tides, the power of seeds never clones and the art of dog barricades. Excited to see where future episodes go.
