How they do it in the South…

….murder, that is….Not Podcasts. Seriously though, this is a great story that would make an excellent major motion picture. Well worth the listen! Intriguing and well done.

    Needed a producer or editor

Interesting subject matter but was told in a haphazard manner. The narrators experience is just not interesting and that is often the case of self taught podcasters.

    Excellent

Extremely well researched and narrated. Unlike so many podcasts of this type, real effort went into approaching it from all angles and forming a compelling theory. In the process it is both objective and compassionate. Oh and respectful of all involved, a rare concept these days. Nice work.

    Excellent story!

I was very impressed with the through way this story was investigated and narrated. Thank you for doing your very best to solve Margaret’s story and solve her murder. My thoughts on your guilt of exposing her life, today she would not need to hide those parts of her life. As a DA she would want her murder solved. She dealt with the worst crimes against women and children in her legal career and felt huge compassion for them. She would want the same. I personally feel you reached the right conclusion. Don’t hesitate to listen to this story, I couldn’t turn it off, it’s so well done.

All good except for the background music

What is with the high-pitch beeping in the background?

    Great

Took me a couple episodes to get into the story, but once I did, I couldn’t stop. Good story telling and it’s interesting to hear first hand from people in the story.

    1000x better than crime junkie

I was an avid crime junkie listener until they started getting political. I stumbled upon this while on an 11 hour drive and listed to the entire thing. Amazing story telling without bias. I hope they continue the series, with other unsolved cases. So good!

As a listener living in New Orleans and familiar with the “city” and the north shore dynamics, I enjoyed this podcast.

    First podcast series

This was my first podcast series I’ve ever listened to and I did so while driving to keep awake. I loved it for my first series. I don’t have anything to compare it to but it kept me engaged and attentive while still being able to drive and not fall asleep. It let my mind run wild. I do wish it was more exciting, as in the way of the narrator sounding like it was just another boring job to get through rather than something to be interested in and intrigued by

I stopped listening at episode 2

I stopped listening at episode 2 when it felt like the only point the interviewees make is that she was gorgeous and how shocking it is that she was smart and strong 🙄 honestly bored of the thinly veiled sexism. And not that this podcast is the only one guilty of this but why are we only focusing on a beautiful white woman when there are so many poc who don’t get representation like this. I encourage the network to do better.

    Loved it

This podcast was very well done. Engaging and unbiased but full of information. Loved it! Live in Covington now and it’s always interesting to see the secrets that Mandeville and Beau Chene have.

    All over the place.

I got bored and stopped listening at episode 4. It’s unsolved so felt like a waste of time.

    Wild ride!

I was not expecting the crazy twists and turns this story would take, but I'm glad I was along for the ride. This was very well done - well researched, well paced, and well written. Kudos to the team behind it. I notice you call this Season 1; whatever it ends up being about, I look forward to Season 2.

    Justice for Victor White

Please do one of Victor White I believe in New Iberia Parish. They did a documentary called Sugarland. It is the case of a man wrongfully arrested who ended up dead. He was handcuffed with his arms behind his back and had no weapons. On the ride to take him to jail he supposedly shot himself in the chest. How does one shoot themselves in the chest when their hands are behind their back? It is a heartbreaking story and he is the brother of my dear friend Lakeisha Green.
