Love this one!

This podcast has some of the best production I’ve come across in true crime podcastland. I absolutely love the chilling music, sound effects which Broderick includes. The little things really make a difference. I’m sad to have nearly come to the end. I’ve decided to save the last few episodes from my binge so I can listen later. I absolutely get that life is crazy and can’t imagine trying to fit a podcast production into my schedule but - just sayin’ - you wouldn’t hear any complaints from me if you did ever come back! 🌈🦕🦁

SLOW DOWN PLEASE

Love the content of this podcast but could you please put some kind of personality into it and slow down? I know you’re reading off of a script but if you could improvise a little it would make it much better. Personalize it more?

Narration Needs Work

I like the stories themselves, but the narrator speaks too quickly and also speaks with very few pauses, emphases, or anything to absorb the ear in the telling. I find myself spacing out unless I am actively trying to catch every word.

Very underrated show!

I’m not a huge true crime fan but this is one of my favourite shows, I find it to be well researched and the audio quality is very good, a couple of the cases covered hit really close to home and I admire how the host handled them with such great sensitivity and sincerity.

Early days so far but good

Well structured investigations, a few long pauses but overall a good listen (only 4 pods in)

Sensory overload.

The background music killed it for me. Couldn’t concentrate on the actual story. TOO LOUD. 🎶

Queen Street Massacre

Just finished listening to this pod cast. Great pod cast not too long, but covered what needed to be reported.Only issue is please get rid of the police radio as it’s not real and pulls the quality of the podcast down. If it’s from a police radio transcript, comment and then read it out. Sorry. Apart from that great work.

Happily Binging

I found this when I heard it recommended on a podcast that I can't stand, but had run out of options. It was at the beginning, and I immediately switched over. The Five stars had me skeptical but once I started listening I was pleased to find that this podcast deserves every bit of those five stars and more. I love the format like others have mentioned. I like a scripted show with no rambling or chit-chat, and an intelligent sounding host. The cases are new to me, yay? I don't get people suggesting cases on other podcasts I don't want to hear about the story I already know about so it's very sweet of odd.

A superior podcast

It is great to hear how the narrator draws you into the stories, making you feel as if you are part of the stories, and I should know! As a volunteer Sheriff’s Deputy I’ve been doing surveillance for years. One time I suspected an ex-girlfriend of mine of cheating on me, so I tailed her for six nights straight. Turns out… she was. With a couple of guys actually, so… mystery solved.

I just can’t listen to this

The narration style is just impossible to endure and has gotten worse! No intonation or punctuation whatsoever. I was so excited to see that there are finally some new episodes but couldn’t even get to 5 minutes. Seriously. Stories are compelling and I really want to listen but just can’t. Get some coaching - it will really pay off.

Glad you’re back, but the episodes are too short!

Ive been eagerly awaiting the return of Felon. I like the narrator’s unique delivery and he has introduced the audience to some intriguing cases. I was keen to see what new direction the podcast would taken after its extended break, but overall I’m disappointed. The episodes are far too short to compete with the many rival true crime podcasts currently available. This podcast has great potential, but is now at the bottom of listening list.
