Keep it up!

You had me at open source, and then sensitivity to victims. I love your devotion to the truth and the fact that you don’t feel the need to be funny. For me, I just want to hear the case and it’s so hard to get humor right. It almost always seems to be traded for sensitivity. And the content speaks for itself in your case. Keep it up!

Gets better and better

The scripts are tightly written and well-paced. Both the Oslo terror attacks and Heineken kidnapping episodes had me enthralled. Makes me realize how many true crime podcasts just telling the same, stale stories.

Episode #56 - 1930’s and racism

Narrator noted that mixed race babies were not getting adopted (and had to be terminated). However, it’s not the fault of the maternity home that people in the 1930’s didn’t adopt mixed race babies. Many listeners forget to put things into context - and the narrator should point out the reality of the situation (there would literally be no home for these babies, anywhere).

To the point storytelling

I love the one person narration that goes straight to the story. So many other true crime podcasts contain silly banter between hosts so that often the story doesn’t begin for up to 10 minutes. There are no frills here and that’s what I want in a true crime podcast. I do like hearing police interviews and 911 calls that are germane to the case, but don’t want a lot of theory or conjecture from the typically amateur podcast host. This host just tells the stories and because he’s cast such a worldwide net, many of the stories are new to me. Love that and love this podcast!

Unheard crimes

Great podcast. Lots of crimes that I’ve never heard of before. And a few I’ve heard elsewhere, more in-depth information was provided here.

Love it

This is one of my favorite podcasts. The stories are told with great respect and sensitivity. No unnecessary chatter/jokes, which I find distasteful for such subject matters. The information is presented clearly and story telling is engaging.

Interesting cases, issues with audio volume

The host chooses cases not often covered by other true crime podcasts and does good research. My only gripe is the sound quality where the narration is relatively low, but ads are loud, which is very jarring.

Excellent Narration

Facts are well ordered and easy to follow. Narrator’s voice is particularly easy to listen to. I usually like to hear interviews with principles involved, but I’m not missing them in this podcast.

Episode 59 reveals their slut shaming attitude

This is a well produced podcast. However, they revealed their blame the victim, slut shaming point of view. Bye bye, don’t need your misogyny in my life.

Bad acting

I laugh every time the narrator does his "serious" tone whilst trying to make an impact. Please stop. Just tell the story.
