Story Break is a weekly podcast from RocketJump where Will Campos, Matt Arnold, and Freddie Wong sit down in the RocketJump writer's room and attempt to "break" a story for a ridiculous concept, property, or idea that we in NO way have any rights to. Join us every week as we attempt to tackle everything from beloved video games to billion dollar franchises!

Favorite DnD podcast

I really enjoy this podcast. I listen with headphones bc I have kids and it is not kid friendly. To my wife, I appear to be a crazy person laughing out loud seemingly at random while doing housework.

Fandadstic!

I’ve checked out over a dozen real-play RPG podcast. This is currently my favorite by a wide margin. If you loved the early arcs of Adventure Zone, this will be right up your alley. The production value and pacing are great. They play fast and loose with the rules, but mostly in service of the story, which is how it should be. As a team of actors, writers, and improvisers, their humor and creative energy feels effortless. They’re always following the fun/pun, while the DM is ever-ready with the next juicy detail to keep you engaged. Yes, it’s for adults, and yes it gets a little racey. Bearing that in mind, I’d recommend this to anyone 18+ with even a passing interest in RPGs or improv.

Ron is the MVP

Absolutely the best podcast I’ve ever listened to. The chemistry the players have is top tier, and the comedy is better! I would recommend this to anyone who needs a break from the mundanity of life or is absolutely baked (do it).

The absolute best!!! Hands Down!!!

This is the best D&D podcast out right now! One of the most creative takes on 5e I’ve hear yet. And I’ve listened to a lot. I just became a patreon today so keep the episodes coming. Thank you for the listening pleasure.

Easily top 3 real play

Outstandingly funny, quick witted, and excellent improv. You know how there’s always the one player that you barely tolerate? Those awkward moments that you fast forward through? This podcast doesn’t have any of that. Easily the best plot premise I’ve ever encountered. Pristine audio from start to finish and there’s no break in period where you have to listen for a while before it gets good. I cannot say enough good things about this. Top 3 not in order: the adventure zone (first two seasons), dungeons and daddies, spout lore. Godsfall would have been mentioned except Aram had all that weird fallout drama with cast/players. Still worth listening to but not top 3.

So Funny!

Been following this podcast for a few months now and can say without a doubt it is currently my favorite podcast! The cast is hilarious and always fun to listen to, the creative storylines and even more creative workarounds are consistently surprising, and the occasional (rare) bdsm is a rewarding treat. All fans of D&D podcasts should listen to this one.

Dungeons and Daddies: Wow

This is a great podcast that I listen way too much to , it has great audio and hilarious jokes. Freddy Wong is amazing as Glenn Close, with a super power of calming down, Matt Arnold is definitely the alpha male, Darryl Wilson in many respects and Will grossed me out so much as Henry Oak with his “beautiful” rendition of his fart. And Beth, the secret weapon of the podcast, has made me laugh, cry, and connect with Ron Stampler. Anthony Burch is a great story teller and I highly recommend this podcast for anyone wanting to laugh for hours!
