Rude!
Wow! I couldn’t even get through one episode. This woman is insane. Gaslighting, triggering, disrespectful. I have never heard anything worse on a podcast. I wish I could hug this caller she was speaking too.

Sarcastic belittling insulting rude triggered so so unkind
My title encapsulates most of what I think about Dr. Laura while some of her ideas may come from sound footing there is absolutely no reason to be this unbelievably rude and belittling to people I am positive she has her own deep emotional triggers that create this sort of stridency and I actually suspect that she’s made many of these mistakes which would explain her rage because she’s actually yelling at her self

Too many ads!
The commercials are actually hilarious how many they manage to squeeze into an episode under ten minutes. If you’re listening while driving try not to crash as you have to skip through three random chunks of add

Cold
I grew up reading Dr. Laura books, and my parents were huge fans all my life too. We used to listen to her radio show. But at what point did counseling need to become so disrespectful? Sure she offers good advice. But helping people get to the bottom of their feelings shouldn’t be this combative. I’m not a fan of hearing adults get berated every time they need guidance or validation that they’re doing the right thing. She goes off the rails when someone says they “don’t know” as if she’s never had mixed feelings before in her life. She’ll yell at these poor people to “shut up!” when they try to answer her questions. Tough love is awesome. I’m all for it. But this is more like penance. She will treat you like an idiot and discipline you for even seeking her insight. If you’re entertained by this, you’re likely experiencing schadenfreude. You enjoy the torment of others.

Dr Laura
She is blunt! Says it like it is and speaks truth!!! I’ve listened for 20 years! She’s a great no nonsense, common sense person. She gives sound advice and teaches morals and values necessary for a happy life. Wonderful Podcast!

“My family feels Incomplete”
Dr. Laura,Listening to you compare your tubal pregnancy to the loss of a child is appalling. There isn’t even a fetus developing in an ectopic|tubal pregnancy— there is NO baby. The lady you were talking to gave birth to a baby. She held her daughter in her arms. These two things are not related. That’s like me saying I know what my best friend is going through when she gets divorced after 25 years of marriage and 3 kids because I broke up with the guy I was dating for 8 months. You are out of bounds here and this lady deserves a written apology. I hope to God you or your loved ones never know what it is to give birth to a child, hold them in your arms, and have them die. This woman needed to talk and be HEARD, not silenced. Based off this one episode, I would strongly discourage you to ever attempt to offer grief counseling. Yikes.

Refreshing!
I have listened to Dr. Laura for over twenty years. Her no nonsense, clear cut, common sense approach is a refreshing change in a society that has becometoo focused on how people feel and what they want rather than doing the right thing. Dr. Laura is a beacon of light to her callers! I love listening to her podcast, which is first-rate in my book.

Too many ads
I just skip the ads on the call of the day. I just hit the 15 second forward button three times and if there’s still an ad I hit it again. That makes 2/32 commercials that I have skipped. You can always skip 15 Seconds ahead. I don’t listen to the ends

Shocked
I really enjoyed this show and was very happy to begin listening again recently. I called in with a problem that I needed advice on and before I could fully explain, was met with a judgemental assumption by one of the psychologists on staff and then they hung up on me. I respected the show until now and will no longer support it. They choose who’s worthy of aiding. I wonder how many others have been treated this way. I’m glad at least a vetted selection of people benefit from her work because her advice is almost always on point- that’s what the two stars are for.

Too many ads
I found this podcast about 18 months ago and I was so thrilled to get to hear Dr. Laura’s advice again. I understand that this FREE daily call episode may come with an advertisement as a necessary revenue generator, However, in the last month or two, they have been inserting additional ads within the calls which are really awkward and distracting. The most recent episode “I got fired - again” has THREE advertisements in the span of a 6 minute call. One is fine, two is slightly annoying, but three is just ridiculous for such a short podcast.

Too many ads
Love this podcast but have to stop listening. It doesn’t need to have ads at the beginning, in the middle, AND at the end of 3-5 minute long clips!! We’re listening to more ads than content.
