    Dr Death

My sister has already listened to this entire series on Apple podcasts, but since the TV shows premiere it has been removed from here. What a joke. I would have binged on both regardless, as I trust that Joshua Jackson and Christian Slater will have me hooked. My guess is this was a selfish contractual decision by either Netflix/Stan etc.

    Important & Terrifying

We need better systems and processes in the justice system…. However, many of us have no idea these kinds of things go on regularly… it’s insane how difficult it is t make a change… but the more we know, the more equipped we can be to do just that…

This story is amazingly addicting yet so sad. I know so many people that could have easily become a victim of this monster.

    Removed

The show itself is great-aside from the constant ads taking up so much runtime-but after months of season two being up on here, half the show has been removed to be hosted elsewhere. What, the ads weren’t enough money for you, you had to go amazon exclusive? And then you post this separate listing of one episode and an ad telling you where to get the rest of the season?

Just heard of a similar situation with Dr. Javaid Perwaiz OB/Gyn in Virginia who has been sentenced to 59 years in jail.

    Wow... Just Wow...

This story fascinated me. It blew up as my father was actually dying from an experimental procedure at Baylor Scott & White Dallas. This story is the top of an iceberg. That’s what scares me. May Jerry Summers rest in peace with all those who were killed by the system that allowed Dr Duntsch to get away with all of this.

Long Commercial With A Great Story In-Between

I know that until there is a massive backlash of some sort, the likelihood of Wondery changing anything about this is slim to none, but I have found that I am going to stop listening to any of the material. As good as the storylines may be, the vast majority of the show - all of their shows - seem to be one giant commercial with a great story interlaced into it. I have tried the free version, it is nice, but I don’t think that as many people are willing to pay as much as everyone seems to be requesting now to listen to each podcast in the form of a story versus a commercial. If you happen to see this review duplicated comments because I’m going to paste it on every one of their podcasts that I have listen to. I would be curious as to how many people actually buy the products that are shoved down our throat‘s. One can’t help but wonder if the juice is going to be worth the squeeze as listeners gradually drop off in this day of thousands upon thousands of available podcasts. I truly pity those who are telling the stories, doing the research, and have put together such a well done storyline as long as they work for this company.

Fascinating, scary, well researched and presented. Thumbs up!However, perhaps the ads are designed to entice (drive?) listeners to go with Wondery without ads. Particularly the ad for the Pink Pill. The ad picks up speed to the point that the first time I heard it I thought it was a parody, especially since the subject of the podcast is medical malpractice. Soooo irritating! Please re-think the presentation of the ads, especially the Pink Pill one!

We’re at our most vulnerable when we go to our doctors. We trust the person at the other end of that scalpel. We trust the hospital. If you had back pain, and had tried everything else, Dr. Duntsch could give you the spine surgery that would take your pain away. But soon his patients started to experience complications, and the system failed to protect them.
