Suspenseful, Horrifying, and somehow Educational...?
Wow!! Felt like I was on pins and needles while listening to these episodes. This story was terrifying, unnerving, and so completely fascinating as I came to understand more about the complexities of the overlap between the medical and legal systems. Who knew it would be so challenging to get a physician on trial??

Absolutely amazing
I had heard other pods talk about this show and I needed something new to listen to listen to. Oh wow from the fist episode in season 1 I was hooked. I of course was interested having worked on the clerical side of a large neurological practice for over 20 years I was also immediately appalled. I am not medical staff but from what I know about NS I knew this man was a monster. Looking forward to listening to the next seasons.

So difficult to turn off
these are the type of podcast that you’ll find yourself sitting in a cold car in the garage, wanting to hear the next episode, rather than taking the time to go in the house.

Laura is a gifted compassionate story teller. Each episode is riveting. Turn off the TV and listen.

Keeps my attention!
This story progresses at a satisfying speed. Not too slow that I get bored, but not too fast that I’m left wishing there were more. Fascinating hearing how the horrors unfold!

This podcast is the GOAT
Laura Beil is the best! By far the best podcast. I’ve watched the documentary and the series on Peacock too. This story is fascinating. Wish I could see the actual court proceedings! 🤩

My new favorite
This podcast was a big reason I got a Wondery subscription. My heart hurts for the victims but this podcast is narrated and written extremely well. I usually only to listen to Podcasts when i’m driving but I couldn’t wait to listen to this one … I carried my phone from room to room for days to listen to all of it.

Dr. Death
Fantastic podcast!!! Extremely sad and pathetic on Christopher Duntsch’s part (I refuse to even call him a doctor!!). Very sad for the people who lost their life or a loved one and extremely sad for those who deal with permanent damage now because of that sociopath. Makes you fear if you REALLY know and can trust the ones whom you’ve trusted with your life!

very interesting reporting, horrible sound quality
This is a horrific story that is very well-reported. the sound quality especially on the first two episodes is terrible.

Great listen
I especially liked the coverage on how corporate practices that have forced their way into American medicine promoted Chris Duntsch’s continued butchery of innocents. Keep up the good work!A good candidate for a future season of Dr. Death could be the obstretician Kala Dharma. She became infamous among physicians in Duntsch’s former hunting ground of DFW for gross incompetence and being banned from practicing in nearly every hospital there. She preyed on disadvantaged Latinas and African-American women who lacked the resources to get justice. Her extended family and friends who live overseas flood her Healthgrades page with 5-star reviews and spam and threaten former patients who speak out against her. Last I heard, she moved out to California where she continues to butcher pregnant women.

Pretty ok
I thought it started off good. It is easy to listen to but sorta dragged out. There was so much more the writer could have done but all the episodes after the first are just repetitive. Not bad just missing what makes a really good podcast.

Absolutely fantastic…
And absolutely horrifying. This is my first review of a show, because, holy moly, it’s that good. I’m late to the story, but it didn’t matter at all. What did freak me out, though, was the fact this is about a neurosurgeon who paralyzed people operating on backs, and I’m someone who has had three back surgeries and two fusions- the EXACT surgeries where he killed or paralyzed patients. Thank god my surgeon wasn’t this monster, thank. GOD. 5/5

Chilling
As someone who has suffered unthinkable physical pain & had a traumatic surgery experience, this podcast hit me on a personal level. This story is the equivalent of a car wreck you can’t look away from. 4 stars because the ads are brutal. They’re loud & frequent & ruin the flow of the show. Just clump them all in the middle instead of every 8 minutes. It’s enough to convince me to avoid Wondery productions from now on.
