Family, relationships, and comedy are the things that tie us all together. Host Dustin Nickerson brings us in to have a laugh about all of it. Each week, he's joined by fellow comedians coming from a diverse group of backgrounds and perspectives to chat about all things family. Parenting, marriage, childhood, siblings, and so much more. It's funny, and a little a bit serious. The best way to handle family.

Funny and down to earth

I found this podcast by way of Dustin’s appearance on That Sounds Fun. It’s funny, down to earth, and I love them not taking themselves and all the topics so seriously. It is lighthearted and keeps me more chill as I listen while caring for my new infant twins. Also, I actually listen to the intro with Steven English, whereas most podcasts I fast forward through all the intro stuff. Even the ads are somewhat entertaining!

Awesome!

I started listening to this podcast after listening to Tim Hawkins’ Poddy Break twice through. I love it almost as much as Tim’s inactive podcast.

Caught up

I found out about Dustin and this podcast on Annie F-in Downs podcast. I’ve since spent the last several weeks catching up from episode 1. I’ve only done this with one other podcast so you should feel honored. In fact, I think I deserve a 5-star rating for such a commitment. But now I’m concerned that I may begin going through withdrawals as I have to wait until Tuesday’s to hear a new episode. I need a La Croix and a bottle of Dali Vineyards wine. I’d ask when you or Stephen are coming to Tulsa but all we have here is a Looney Bin, so looks like I’m traveling.

Hilarious, real life, family friendly

I saw Dustin live last month and loved his set. Immediately started listening to the podcast, and now the radio is obsolete for my daily commute. I don’t know which is better, the banter with Steven or the practical interviews with frontseaters, both so funny! My favorite episode so far is 68 with KevOnStage. If you’re wondering where to start to see “Will I like this pod”...I’d recommend that episode. Can’t go wrong with Taylor Tomlinson, Tim Hawkins, and other hilarious guests. Well done!!

Great podcast!

So nice to hear a funny podcast that is not vulgar. Very witty with slightly dry humor. Found it from Annie f downs.

So good I even listen to the ads

This is the only podcast I listen to that I don’t forward through the ads. If you can make podcast ads entertaining you get 5 stars from me.

Love the pod!

I’ve been a backseater since the first episode and I love this podcast! I always enjoy the laughs and the “wisdom” that Dustin and his guests have to offer. The interviews are seriously great, but honestly I am 100% all in for the banter between Dustin and Producer Steven. I am always waiting for subtle (or not so subtle) show sponsor to get worked into the conversation and it cracks me up every time. In fact, as I write this review, I am currently drinking a glass of Daou Winery wine from a Munchie Mug (which is logistically harder than it sounds). Keep those episodes coming!

5 Stars is not enough!!

Love this podcast, Tuesday’s are my favorite day of the week because I look forward to listening every week! Love the conversations and the jokes brought up every week...keep up the great work and don’t worry Steven, maybe you’ll be able to sneak a sponsor promo without Dustin seeing it coming sometime (but probably not). Looking forward to hearing more episodes and catching Dustin’s shows more!

Ugly laughing while driving

Came across this gem of a podcast while listening to my other favorite podcast, “That Sounds Fun”! Dustin and “producer” are both hilarious and hearing them laugh.....makes me laugh. I finally got a giggle out of my 14 yr old daughter while listening to the one with Trey Kennedy talking about middle school years. Thanks for all the ugly laughing and crying!

Laughing In Phoenix AZ

So been hearing the podcast for a while now. This podcast is like my new stepdad. Poddy break used to be my favorite podcast until they walked away after they told us they would be back (like my dad did). Then the stepdad came along and he had a cool truck and a Nerf gun collection and I’ve been in love ever since. Love the intros almost the best. Thanks for Tuesdays!

My Stress Medicine!

Hey guys! So, I am a 31-yr-old returning college student to get a second degree, and, because God told me to, I am getting my Bachelor of Science in Nursing. I had no idea how hard this was going to be, and it is definitely hard. So, I am stressed to the max between nursing school, work, my husband, and 3 kids. But every day, on my way to wherever I am going and back, I’m listening to your podcast. You guys bring much needed laughter to my stressed life. My calming de-stressor to the hectic-ness! I running out of episodes to listen to and don’t know what I’m going to do lol. So, thank you for making this podcast and keep up the awesome work!P.S. May I have a sticker to put on my mom-van? 😅

My Love for Stephen English

I really enjoy Dustin Nickerson as a comedian and host. Exceptional at interviewing with interesting guests. I am planning to try and see him in person this upcoming year. However, I think I listen to the introduction to hear what ridiculous things Producer Stephen English will say. Even if I think things are funny, I rarely laugh out loud. Stephen English makes me lol. Literally.

Great stand up

I was able to see Dustin’s stand up tonight when he performed with another comedian in Columbia and his humor was spot on. I appreciated his lighthearted approach to poking fun at parenting without playing into the overdone jokes you hear so many other comedians beat into the ground. I put his podcast on as soon as I got home and found it fun and refreshing. Check him out if you’re looking for a podcast that doesn’t make you feel worse about yourself but instead lets you laugh at the chaos that is raising small humans.

Stumbled on Dustin Nickerson and So Glad I did!

I recently saw Dustin open for another comedian and he was hilarious. His set was so funny I cried! I’ve never laughed so hard. As a parent, I relate to his humor and love that it’s clean. The podcast is great. Sometimes funny, sometimes serious, and always unexpected. Extra points to anyone who can get him to laugh... if you’ve heard him laugh... you’ll understand!

Brightens my day!

I love listening to your podcast weekly as I am an author/artist/homeschooling mama and your podcast brings extra joy into my day. The banter between you and Stephen puts a smile on my face and makes me forget I'm washing dishes! This week has been extremely hard. I lost my cousin to cancer and have been heartbroken since Sunday. When I saw there was a new episode ready today (Tuesday), it helped brighten my mood and was the perfect thing to listen to while I rest and heal. Your heart is genuine and your comedy is so real and relatable. Your conversations with guests are deep and refreshing. They make me laugh and appreciate the power of connection. Thank you Dustin and Stephen for doing this. Forever a backseater.
