Back to the Rock

Fascinating documentary about the Fastnet yacht race. Very informative and enjoyable to listen to. Would love to hear another documentary from the talented John O’Donnell at some stage.

This American Life meets Ireland

Less whimsy but more a vivid and lush snapshot of an Irish event or situation. It feels like being transported to that time. It’s special, give it a go.

Unsurpassed. Superb.

This is public service broadcasting at its very very best. If RTE existed only to produce these it would be well worthwhile. Hats off to the doc on one team.

The Little Mouse in the Corner

I listened to this documentary, narrated by Pauline Dunne. I thought it was very well put together and made for great listening. For a little mouse, she seems to be doing very well and continued good luck to her in her endeavours.

Fascinating

Storytelling at its best. Each podcast is so well narrated with each topic absolutely fascinating. Ireland and the KGB, who'd have thought. Probably the best thing to come out of RTE in decades

Then there was light

A great documentary, my Dad worked for the ESB and would tell us great stories of this time as a young man working long hours. It brought back great memories of both my late Dad and my own childhood.

Then there was light

Well done to all involved in bringing the fantastic doco "Then there was light" to air. My own granny in rural Longford had a paraffin lamp until 1974. I was once told by a fairy folk historian that the reason we don't tell our kids the stories of fairy folk from our childhood, is that electricity took away the shadows and Google had the answer to all mysteries. Thank u to all involved for making the doco. 🇮🇪🇦🇺

Real life Irish storytelling which will one day be a lost art. Laughed and cried listening to the history of our country and peoples epic life experiences. Emotive and thought provoking. A brilliant listen.
