Great Stuff
I really enjoy the banter, the humor, the depth, the obvious care foe believes and the church.

New to listening, happy i was referred. I cringed at the black/white episode because I heard something I loathe...disclaimers for a “good” black guy. He’s a Christian or believer or good man, or complied w the officer, has good manners, is articulate, blah blah blah. While that is all good, my black husband black children should not have to be those things to be treated FAIRLY and/or with dignity and respect by trained police. Travell hit the nail on the head when he mentioned that our experiences can mean “life or death,” so we really need to move past talking and get to the work. I truly enjoy listening to your podcast and hearing from some cool, Godly white guys who constantly use black jargon and culture. (See what I did I there). But please drop the disclaimers! God bless you guys and keep up the good work.

My favorite podcast. The guys say it like they see it through a Biblical, reformed lens. The banter is comical and I so appreciate all the work they put into the show.

Unhealthy for pastors. They will turn inward and hate their congregations except for their fans.

Even though I’m not Reformed, as a fellow Southern Baptist I still enjoy intellectually grappling with the parts I disagree with, while finding useful parts, especially in the categories of church life and Christian living.

These guys are so into themselves and it is a distraction from the message they are attempting to give. I quote: “one of the MANY books I have written includes ______.” C’mon, guys.

I love the show, I love the topics, and I love the petty shots they take at each other. The only thing about the show I would change would be to have Joe be a lot taller. Thanks.

Reviewed on Apple PodcastsGrateful for this Podcast
I was introduced to this podcast late last year when Joe & Jimmy interviewed Julie Roy’s in regards to information that was being revealed about our then church home Harvest Bible Chapel. Although that interview was what brought me to this podcast it has really been Joe & Jimmys Monday episodes on the 1689 that has kept me listening. I’ve learned so much and am encouraged weekly by this podcast. What I gravitate most to is how transparent & real these two are and been honestly really refreshing to hear as someone who is truly over the scripted reality podcasts. Because we enjoyed the podcast so much, my husband & I decided to also visit Redeemer Fellowship in St Charles when seeking a new church home for our family after leaving Harvest. I’m happy to say the people we hear on this podcast have been the same in person. IMO you either will like this podcast or you won’t. Joe & Jimmy are the real deal and we couldn’t be more grateful for that.

I am thankful to have the opportunity to listen to the guys at night while I work. Listening to a transparent hashing out of theology is very refreshing.

Backyard banter, reformed theology, beards and cigars. A little slice of heaven on earth. Only complaint...it ain’t long enough! Keep it coming.

Longest running podcast I have been listening to. Hope they never stop. If new, start with the 10 commandments series.

This podcast is thoughtful and hilarious. These guys are even handed in their critique of modern culture but also actually hold to their beliefs with conviction. The insight they give into how they run their church is my favorite part, helping me as a member of a body elsewhere to understand what is truly helpful and what can move the church forward. You guys are a household name :) I also got my girlfriend hooked on D&D - she went up 2 points

A friend recommended this podcast for a specific episode he had heard, but after listening to that one, it was so good and encouraging that I went back to the beginning and have been listening in order. I’m still a couple years behind, but the journey is well worth it. - From an Honest, 5 Star Reviewer
Reviewed on Apple PodcastsAwesome show
This is one of the few shows where I actually enjoy the banter between hosts. They cover some solid topics in a fun, accessible way. I’d be interested to see overviews of chapters or entire books of Scripture as well as a series on preaching. Great stuff guys!
Reviewed on Apple PodcastsWomen: You’re Not Worthy
This podcast’s hosts explicitly, repeatedly espouse the hurtful beliefs that women must “submit” in church, and that women’s voices aren’t worthy of being heard. I respect their right to believe this, but I won’t listen to someone dehumanize me. Unsubscribed.

Also I laugh like you now...
