Very Fun and Educational... for adults, not kids

This is a fun and educational podcast. It gives you an opportunity to learn more about animals and laugh. My favorite host has been Laci.

Gratuitous vulgarity from guest co-hosts

It is usually very entertaining & informative, & even enjoy that it is a bit adult-themed with regard to creatures & their crazy behaviors & anatomy, & the sometimes grossness that goes along with it. But there is WAY too much free swearing & use of F-word & other language by the guest co-hosts, esp the Fantassy ep. w the Alex guy. These can be fun discussions, but the overconfident guest vulgarity is off-putting.

Not for kids!

I was hoping to share this podcast with my 7 year old son who loves science, animals, and podcasts, but the language and the humor are a bit much just yet, unfortunately.

Profanity

I thought this would be a good listen for a family road trip, but there was too much profanity. Disappointing.

Funny and fascinating

The host seems to put lots of love into the show...high enthusiasm, witty jokes, and wide eyed fascination. Also a slight morbid and naughty streak to the humor keeps the high spirits from being too cloying. Love this both as a nature and humor podcast!

Excellent listen

Great podcast! I only have time to listen to one podcast and still stay caught up and this is it! Great for animal lovers, science lovers, and generally funny podcasts lovers. Each episode is worth listening to twice, and I bet you could listen ten times and every time come away with more knowledge. The podcast has great tangents that are never tedious, and what would be most likely boring science stuff becomes highly humorous. Katie is a great host of a great podcast. Keep them coming

Like Ad Nauseum

I gave them multiple shots due to an interest in intellectual content but the hosts, particularly one of them, won’t like stop saying like, like constantly, like you know what I’m like saying here. Cut it out. It makes you sound like stupid and like really like unprofessional, like really.

Love the science and humor, but uneven

I quickly listened to every episode available. I love the biology and I love the concepts the the hostess uses of humanity and the natural world intersecting. I also love the humor. But the episodes can be really incongruent and it largely depends on her guest. Sometimes there’s baby talk and extreme silliness, some guests don’t engage much, and sometimes it’s ridiculous witty banter that will keep you in stitches. Sometimes it’s a snooze fest for even the most devoted science nerd. Usually it’s really interesting and I have listened to some episodes three times (woah mamma and weird love) covering topics I knew about but still offered much to learn. Keep them coming!

One of my favorite podcasts

Fantastic podcast! With the generally unknown facts about the animal world and oddball comedy I can’t help myself from laughing out loud while working in a molecular biology lab. Binged all the episodes in one week

Very unprofessional.

She quotes statistics about how many people are killed by venomous and poisonous animals....since the dawn of time? Per year? Then goes on to say a certain animal’s venom kills “within 30 minutes”. Based on nothing but her uneducated opinions. What’s with all the gross, vulgar F-bombs? I’m deleting this one.

A great subject, but not for me

As a recent graduate with a Masters in Animal Science and genetics, I was really excited to listen to this podcast, which I’d heard about when listening to This Podcast Will Kill You. Unfortunately, I’m not a fan of rambling narration and prefer the facts presented in a straight-forward manner, so after giving an episode a listen I had to stop subscribing. Great idea, and I’m sure other people will love the comedy aspect, but not for me, personally. Wish you all the luck!

Great concept!

Love the concept of the show. I agree with some of the others on here that it might be better with less giggling. I’m all for silliness but it can get a little out of hand/annoying.
