Storytelling is art, I am learning by listening.

I never listened to podcasts before. Now I am addicted to Delia D'Ambra’s style of storytelling. I hope she continues not only telling these untold stories, but happy informative positive stories too. I am a fan.

    Love Counter Clock!

The biggest pro is that this show is incredibly well researched! That being said, this is also the biggest con, because it feels like forever waiting for a new season to come out, since Delia leaves no stone unturned! Love that the show comes out all at once so you can binge it as well!

    Lame

The journalist is so smug and self-important. She jumped to wild conspiracy theories to make upcontent instead of presenting the facts in a way that other podcasts are much more skilled at to get you hooked. What a waste of time.

    Can’t stop listening

Delia has such a great voice for this! What started as a possible accident, has turned so complicated and I can’t stop listening!! Her suggestion for bingeing isn’t even necessary - you can’t help it!

Well done. So well done. Great stories and investing. Putting good into the worst circumstances. Facts..not just random opinions.

Poor journalism, insulting to locals and stakeholders

Season 4 started strong despite the narrator. What could have been a careful handling of the facts devolved into sensationalism, journalistic entitlement, illogically second-guessing decisions from 20+ years ago, dismissive comments about locals and law enforcement, and holier-than-thou engagement with witnesses who expect to move in with their lives. This pod is helping the pendulum swing on dime a dozen true crime pods. Most listeners would likely do better with the facts than the narrator.

    No resolution.

I feel like I’ve wasted hours of my life. I barely know anything more about what actually happened then when I started. If you are looking for a podcast about all the reasons a case can not be solved then maybe you will enjoy it.

    Good info, not narration

Delia is meticulous. I’ll give her that. The information in season 4 is good, but very redundant. Great example is the gun was discussed at the beginning of season 4 and we were told it wasn’t the type that typically goes off it’s dropped. There has to be pressure put on the trigger to fire the gun. I’m now listening to episode 12 and we’re talking about this, AT LENGTH, yet again. I noticed the episodes are all under 30 minutes, yet the season was stretched to at least 20 episodes. Way too long for this story. I also agree with another recent reviewer regarding poor grammar. Again, the podcast has good info, so I want to listen, but it’s incredibly difficult to not want to rip my ears off my head, based on the grammatical errors and poor enunciation. Last, I think consistently saying “trust me” to a nationwide audience, composed mostly of people you don’t know, is something that makes me actually not trust you at all. If your information is backed up by credible sources, you don’t have to tell people to trust you.

    Excellent investigative reporting

Delia D’Ambra does a phenomenal job with her investigative reporting. I am impressed with the lengths at which she goes to uncover information in these cases. Her ability to uncover and discover parts of these cases that not even law-enforcement had uncovered is amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed all three seasons of her reporting and wait in great anticipation of the next mystery she will dissect. Thank you Delia, for your phenomenal sleuthing skills and allowing us listeners to feel as if we have an insiders perspective on these mysteries! Very well done!

    Boring

I usually binge these seasons in a day or two this has dragged on. Sadly I think this specific case shouldn’t have been so many episodes, just not enough info to even figure out of it was an accident or murder unlike all the other Counter Clock seasons that were murder cases.

    Season 4

I really enjoyed the season although there was a lot of info to remember. It is frustrating to realize how easily legitimate inquiries can be shut down so easily!! I enjoy Dedra as she is very articulate and does not talk so fast that I miss things. Park predators is one of my favorite!!!

    Conjecture Overload

Sadly, an overdose of dumb cops, lyin’ family, heart attacks (“unfortunately he died in __”), and conjecture, innuendo, and conspiracy theories. 2 stars for a couple interesting theories, but agree with another reviewer, this should have been shorter.
