Fresh interesting perspectives

I came into the podcast expecting primarily to get better informed about food and agriculture in the US. The international perspective some of these episodes has been a real boon. Deeply informative, interesting guests. Would recommend!

Music choices...

The show is mostly entertaining and insightful but often times the music is just intrusive to the general feel of the podcast. It's usually in your face and too extended between sets. Also at times the hosts can be a bit much with their strong opinions and banter. Otherwise, it's mostly enjoyable.

Chicago foodie podcast

I like this show, but the audio quality is sometimes not the best which makes it hard to listen to. The tips and interviews are good, and it's helping me discover Chicago's food scene.

Nice to have confirmation of my life choices in diet

Once again, I had it right. but that's because I am well rounded informed. I remember since collage, even high school, hearing how some things were TERRIBLE for you and then a few years latter they were GREAT for you and since then I have never believed ANY of it. I have listened to the big money supported one side and the conspiracy theory nut sack on the other side and KNEW the truth was in the middle. But then I have always been a "the world is many shades of grey" kind of guy and have never trusted anyone's claims, especially health claims.Because I don't drink very much of it, I have my entire adult life pretty much, drank whole milk and would drink RAW milk if I could get it more easily "Oh THE HORROR!" And I ate the fat on my stake, which I have very rarely and have always stuck to real butter on everything. My logic was that I don't use very much so why not enjoy it rather than suffer through the low fat grossness that is the alternative. I figured "How bad can it really be if it was fine for me growing up.So, it turns out I was RIGHT, the real stuff is what is actually good for you WHEN eaten in moderation. WHO KNEW? I did. And now you do to.Ever see those milk does a body good adds? Ever see a SKIM mile mustache? No, you haven't

Creative Take on a Food Podcast

I have been listening to this podcast from its start and it is one of my favorites. Especially for a native Chicagoan, it is fun to hear when they tour and review local products. Some of the interviews they’ve had in the past are really impressive, for example Rene Redzepi was on one of the first episodes. The banter tends to be a little hit or miss, but overall Monica and Luisa are great company. Keep up the great work!

cut back on the music!

i love this podcast - it's informative and entertaining and the guests and conversations are great! but the constant music interruptions are so disruptive and unnecessary - it really has become frustrating, and it takes me out of the interviews. sometimes it's even insulting how leading and obvious the musical choices are, too - it's a distraction to content, not an enhancement. when listening to an interview w/ ruth reichl and alice waters i don't need to hear ANY songs, let alone 8 to send us back to the late 60s, or big band era. i just want to hear the conversation.

Great food podcast but a little pretentious

First off I love this podcast. I heard about it on the afternoon shift, and then subscribed because I didnt want to listen to the WBEZ pledge drive. Each week has a theme, and while it is Chicago based, it is a good listen for everyone. This IS going to be a very Pro-sustainable, anti-GMO show that may make you feel bad for getting that McDonalds or eating eggs that are a dollar a dozen, but if you can work past that , it is highly enjoyable. Also great voices for podcasting and the two work well together.

A great cooking and eating podcast!

I think it's the best cooking and eating podcast around. It's not Chicago-centric. Informative, scientific, fun, and without pretension. Awesome.

This podcast quickly became one of my favorites. The topics are insightful, well reserached and the hosts are very articulate with a great sense of humor. The food topics and interviews are very topical and covered in depth with the light touch. As with every great podcas, I just wish I could hear more.... an everyday podcast would make me happy..... it is that good! Fabulous thank you SO much for what you do!

Even though Chewing The Fat focuses on Chicago eats (I'm in L.A.), each episode is so relevant and fun for the food lover.
