Tech issues

Good topics and guests with some fundamentals most forget about. Only issue I have is the terrible, muffled sound of the interviewee. It’s obvious these interviews are not recorded using the best technology and some are so hard to hear what they are saying, I just skip the remaining episode.

Best podcast for Architectural entrepreneurs!

I am currently a junior partner at my firm and have been dreaming of starting-up my own gig. This podcast has helped me confirm my knowledge on the little that I know about managing a firm, and has also helped shed some light on the areas that are still a little grey to me. I have been able to put a lot of the lessons in motion at my current firm, but I am really excited to put them in full effect once I have my own.

Very Informative

This podcast is very informative and practical. Favorite episode is with Carl Turner, he is now one of my design heroes! Thanks for introducing me to so many practitioners doing great work. This podcast helped inspire me to get into architecture after not being able to after college. Thanks Enoch! You are doing a great service to the architecture community! I wish you all the best!

What did I do before this Podcast?!?

I can’t recommend the Business of Architecture podcast enough. Enoch has provided not just architects but really anyone working in or on a professional services firm an invaluable resource for creating a successful, forward thinking, sustainable firm. The wide range of guests, ranging from big thinkers, to firm managers, to marketers, to tax consultants offer great ideas and real world solutions to help any firm. The best compliment I can offer is that I learn something every time I download and listen to his latest podcast. Do yourself, your firm, or your employees a favor and take the time to listen!

Love this podcast!

I currently work in the corporate arch environment. This podcast is helping me gather my mind and prepare for the inevitable transition to starting my own firm. I would love to hear more about how solo practitioners are making or not making use of visual programing and data based design, as this is my passion and hope that solo practitioners are making use of these tools to do more with less..

Applying for my MArch

Listening to your podcast has been a great gem for preparing my MArch application. Many architects I meet complain about the complexities and annoyances of the profession, so hearing you explore the realities of the profession (positive, negative, and otherwise) is a great insight for me to plow forward with my applications. Your conversations also give me ideas of what I need to still learn and how I want to grow. I also really enjoy when you ask a follow up question to theories or ideologies. Keep up the good work!

Business of Architecture is a wealth of knowledge

As a marketing consultant that works with AEC firms this podcast has taken the place as my motivating and enlightening driving companion. I find myself quoting tidbits to clients and colleagues all the time and am so glad I found this resource. Its also great to see I have barely made a dent into the library of episodes, and that even the old ones are just as valuable and relevent today. -Noah, Communication Resources Northwest

Unlock your dormant self-help book

Did not enjoy the "Unlock your dormant potential" episode at all. Not helpful, too broad a topic, very preachy. The technical and functional topical episodes are so much better.
