Refreshing!

Masha’s podcast is refreshing. She discusses hard to discuss topics like mental health, how failing at something can be positive, and the more frustrating sides of graduate school. Her podcast is full of amazing helpful advice and helps you realize you aren’t alone. It’s great for everyone, but especially those that are involved in the world of academia.

Great

I have been listening to this podcast almost non stop since yesterday. They're all incredible! I feel like they blend my favorite parts of NPR profiles and informational interviews. I've definitely learned a lot, and this has provided me with so much emotional support, being able to listen to others talk about their relationship to science, life, and confidence. A refreshing glimpse outside the classroom and into the greater multifaceted scientific (and academic)community!

grad school

Masha talks about some really important aspects of grad school and student life that are not frequently brought up due to stigma and the urge to look successful. I'm glad these points are being discussed more openly as it was decrease imposter syndrome and anxiety that students experience. Discussing these topics with others alleviates some of this unease. Great work!

A positive force in podcasting!

After being interviewed, I listened to other episodes of BoldAdulting. The guests are so thoughtful and it's really encouraging to hear how other people struggle with issues of confidence and career like I do. We've all figured out little tips and tricks to get by and this podcast is a great place to hear about those tips and tricks other people use.

She knows her stuff

Masha talks about graduate school, body image, weight loss, stuff she knows personally including achievments and setbacks.I went through graduat school long time ago and can relate to it. Some problems stay the same, some went away, and something new appeared.

A good voice to have in the world.

Full disclosure: I was interviewed on ep 4 of the podcast. This is a podcast dedicated to dealing with uncertainty, something we all seem to be increasingly dealing with these days, especially those of us, like me, that are in the midst of career path changes. As Cara Santa Maria points out in episode one, freelancers and others need to flip from "I'm just lucky to have a job" to "no, they need me! And need to pay me!"
