Disappointing

Great concept and a very necessary subject not often addressed. However, it fell short of its lofty goals. The course materials promise to present an overview of the covenantly structure of the whole of biblical revelation. However, all poetic books of the Old Testament are entirely omitted and the book of Revelation is mentioned in only part of one lecture. The historical backdrop of the books is generally not established leaving the books floating without context. On the plus side, the unifying themes of kingdom, covenant, and mediator are clearly shown.

Great Introduction

I used this course as a primer for further study of the Christian religion. I primarily use courses from CTS and RTS. I found this course useful because it showed the covenant throughout scripture. The lecturer is wise and knowledgeable. He admits where his knowledge is lacking and always approaches the subjects with great humility. I really wish I had the time and resources to actually take a class from him.I highly recommend this course for anyone beginning their study of the Scriptures. People who have been studying the Word for some time will also gain a lot from this as a refresher course.
