Search no more.

Each and every one of us is searching for clarity among abundant sources of information. Reedsy has created the answer, known simply as BESTSELLER. Information is presented in a conversational tone with stories from people just like us. Check out the Prologue podcast if you are short on time. I am certain you will carve out more time once you find value in the content. Bravo Reedsy, just what I needed.

Always Learning & Grateful!

I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this podcast. Like Shaz, my father instilled in me to “work hard and persevere.” That driving force inspired and spurred Shaz on to write The Closer... Similarly, that attitude and my father’s genes keeps me writing with a purpose. Thank you for being candid. Readers connect when they can relate. Finally, how can we not love Ernest Hemingway and his story...

Engaging. Definitely want to listen to more...

I only listened to the ‘Prologue’ episode, but if the rest are the same, this should be an enjoyable podcast. I really enjoyed the narrator’s style and the material is interesting.

I feel MUCH better now!

Wow! The series was incredibly beneficial for me. Just finished my first manuscript and had so many concerns about my next steps. The series addressed ALL of my concerns, including verifying my fears about others involved in the editing process. Also clarified the self-publishing route - the one I will choose. Can't thank you enough for the valuable information. Hosted very well with a good amoount of additional information. Thanks to Shaz for sharing her experience for us all!

Unexpected Help for Self-publishing

As an author considering indie publishing, I was excited to hear that Reedsy has started a podcast just to help self-published authors! And I like their approach of teaching by sharing the true-life stories of writers who self published. The first few episodes I've listened to were a little repetitious on some details, but that can help with instilling what's taught. I don't care for the narrator (he seems like a bit of a smart aleck, but maybe that's just me). However, I plan to keep listening, as I'm enjoying the first story in the series and want to learn as much as possible!

Helpful advice, entertainingly delivered

The Shaz Khang podcast was an ideal mix of honest, informational and motivational. Now I have a much better understanding of what to expect from a developmental edit, as well as a 10-step To Do list en route to self publishing. Knowing that someone as smart and acccomplished as Shaz made mis-steps during the process reinforces that every first-timer will probably do the same -- and that it's okay as long you learn from those mistakes, and then continue forward relentlessly toward your goal.

Very inspiring!

I’m in the process of writing my first novel and I plan to self publish. This podcast breaks down the steps of writing a book, finding an editor, etc. in an easy to understand format and promotes the belief that anyone can write a novel, not just someone with an MFA. Love it so far!
