Once upon a time, last week. I went to a dinner party and heard about this podcast. I never played D&D before hearing this, or after hearing it. But I feel like I know all the rules now, and lots of jargon I'll sadly, never be able to use. The dialogue is hysterical, and the host's witty banter and shameless punning have made this podcast binge-worthy.
My favorite d&d podcast by far. It’s well done and entertaining. Im caught up now and I get a little down when I come to the end of a new episode. One note: don’t listen to it when on a treadmill. You might start laughing so hard that you almost fall off. Just a possibility. You have been warned.
I mean this as no insult when I say this podcast is not polished. There are plenty of D&D podcast that are famous for the DM's great storytelling abilities and the players strong role playing and voice work. Then there are other podcast on the other end that are just a couple of guys playing at D&D. If you are wondering how a real game should be played then this is it. This podcast has all the elements that you will find in a normal well played D&D group. You are going to have conflicts between characters and players. Players doing stupid stuff just to do stupid stuff. "I check for traps on the door." "How do you check for traps?" "I jiggle the handle and stuff." They know what they need to do and the DM let's them do what ever they want. It is amazing to hear how the DM keeps up with all the crazy choices that his players make. Their game is not so much controlled by the DM but ridden by the DM like a wild bronco. If you are going to be a DM then this podcast is a must. You can listen to hours of How to run a game or FB posts on how to handle a situation or you can listen to an actual game and through the course of the season you will hear all the answers to your questions. Listen to just three podcast and get the feel of these guys then decide how you feel about them. I started listening to these guys first and have tried to listen to others but they just don't compare to Bards & Nobles.
First offer, Brian you're d**k!! I'm standing up for my man Kebai and I have to say episode 42 of season 2 played him waaaay to hard! My guy deserves a crab women especially when he has to watch Gritz banging his way through these towns! Anyways, I've been binge listening to you guys and you absolutely make work easy to be at. Keep it up and I hope Kebai gets his women before the end of this campaign!
These guys crack me up every Monday, from Kibei’s random shenanigans ,to Barons rule lawerying this podcast is hilarious. My Favorite character is Gritz and how nothing he does ever turns out like he wants it to. Keep up the amazing work guys.
I never write reviews for podcasts but you guys kill me every week. The creativity of Brian and the wild methods the group comes up with to figure out the most basic of puzzles is amazing. I’ve never looked forward to a podcast so much. I’ve only played a couple one shots of tabletops but this really has me itching to get a group together. Keep it up, fellas!
I have to admit I’m not usually the type of person that gets into table top games but these guys are hilarious to listen to! I love the joke at the beginning of every episode followed by the intro music. This is definitely one of the more professionally done podcasts, as far as editing & production that I subscribe to. My favorite character is Keibei because he keeps me laughing with his absurdity & wittiness!
I ran into you guys at a convention in Birmingham, AL. At the time, I did not listen to any podcasts really, but I took one of your flyers anyways because it looked interesting. After the convention was over and I got back home, I looked up the podcast on here and have been playing catch up on episodes. This is a very entertaining podcast. I have enjoyed all of the 13 episodes I have listened to so far. I plan on continuing to tune in. Thank you guys for making this! I hope I run into you at another convention. If I do, I will definitely stop and say hi!
